I heard Trent Dilfer completely lie out of his butt this morning about Whiz and how he coaches. He was just so off and completely wrong. He did a good job of taking a lot of general cliche' and making it sound true, but anyone that has followed Whiz would have chuckled.

Whiz is NOT a QB guru, but if he hires that right QB coach, who cares.

Whiz's strong points are organizing the organization, changing attitudes, and getting players to buy in.

Not to mention his PR is impeccable. We make fun of "The System Works" but it is a good way of saying he believes in what he is trying to do. Nothing wrong with that.

I swear. Most of these guys on Tv say a whole lot of nothing. No real insight. No real analysis. Just junk. I am not a Whiz basher. I think he will be ok, but to claim one day after the hire that this will be good for Locker is speculation at best. Who knows if he even wants Locker to be his QB.

I would imagine Ryan Fitzpatrick will be starting for the Titans week 1 next season. Seems more of a Whiz type QB, IMHO.

I think Locker is more of a Whiz type QB in that he seems like a hard worker and is strong-willed, or the anti-Leinart. I'd like to see what he can do if he stays healthy.

I think if he brings Grimm back it is a clear indication that he does not have what it takes to be a top tier winning coach for the long term. He is not a good OL coach and I still can't get over the fact that he was not totally engaged with his OLine at half time of the SuperBowl. Successful guys surround them selves with talent and shed liabilities and if Whiz can't do that he will only be able to go so far.

I am not debating whether or not Whiz is a good head coach. I am curious as to how this guy seems to gloss over the whiffs at QB that Whiz was behind and yet make the assumption that Whiz will somehow be good for Locker.

When Whiz has had any semblance of talent at QB position, that team has made the playoffs. That's not really an assumption.

The other guys were bad QB's. There aren't many, if any, that are winning with bad QB's.

Whiz had an 8-9 record with Skelton starting at QB, which is pretty incredible when you consider how bad Skelton actually is.

Kolb was 6-8. Not great but I wouldn't call that a whiff either.

There's not a coach in the league that was going to win with Max Hall, Rich Bartel, or Brian St.Pierre at the helm. That he won a game with Hall at QB is impressive, even though Hall had little to do with it.

We'll see how Grimm does. There is a good amount of talent on the Titans OL. They have Roos and Stewart at tackles and Warmack, Schwenke, and Levitre on the interior.

If Grimm ruins this group, it will be huge indictment on him.

Whiz is just fine with QB's if they have talent.

He knows how to coach them up so not really off base in this article.

Jake Locker has more talent than any of the bums that Whiz rolled out here in AZ. Whiz issue again is as a personnel guy and actually trying to "pick" the guy. Not so much the coaching. As a coach and getting the most out of a talented guy then yes I 100% can see the guru aspect.

I fully expect Whiz to bring in Skelton and trade for either Hoyer or Rex Grossman to compete with Locker in training camp. Or maybe elevate Fitzpatrick in the final game of preseason.

Would this shock anyone?

Jake Locker can no more stay healthy than Kevin Kolb. Ryan Fitzgerald is a nice backup who can start a couple games. If the Titans don't draft or acquire a quarterback they are doomed.

If I was Whis I'd take a long look at Matt Schaub. He ain't Kurt Warner, but he is better than anything TN has now.

I think Whiz's first move will be to try and get a trade completed for Kolb. Maybe send Johnson to Buffalo for Kolb along with a 2nd round draft choice.

Entering a make-or-break season, Locker will be mentored by a coach who developed Ben Roethlisberger, took Kurt Warner to the Cardinals' first Super Bowl and turned Philip Rivers' stalled career around.

Once again I think Whiz doesn't get credit for who he is and what he has done.

I keep hearing that Schaub is done due to a chronic foot problem. He's had it for years apparently but it's taking its toll: can't plant well or push off on throws and therefore loses velocity. Heard that on Sirius couple days ago.
