As the Cleveland Browns look to add depth behind tight end David Njoku, they are bringing in Canton native and Bowling Green's Harold Fannin Jr. in for a 2025 NFL draft visit.
Sportskeeda's Tony Pauline was the first to report the visit ahead of next month's extravaganza. The Bowling Green tight end will have his suitors around the league and is likely to be a mid-round pick in the draft. He set records for the Falcons this season, racking up an astounding 1,555 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns on a massive 117 catches. Fannin broke the NCAA record for both receiving yards and receptions by a tight end in a season.
As the Browns venture back to their roots as a wide zone team, Fannin Jr. is the ideal TE2 and move piece within that structure. Fannin Jr. is a bit stiff and undersized, meaning a role as a true in-line tight end is likely not in the cards for his NFL career. However, the Browns got good mileage out of Harrison Bryant as a flex piece and H-back after selecting him in the fourth round in 2020. Envision a similar role for Fannin Jr. if the Browns were to select him.
This visit will not count against the Browns' top-30 they get this draft cycle, as he is a local player.
