But thats nothing new VF. Football has surpassed Baseball as national pastime. NBA playoffs and MLB World Series can't compete with one day of SUper Bowl IMO.

Both the Seahawks and Vikings stadium have horseshoe seating bowl feel to it.

That is an awesome pic "the viking ship" but there is no way it gets built unless ownership kicks in there are too many money problems in Minn. imo to be financing new stadiums.
I don't they can afford one new one and the Twins and the Gophers want new stadiums too.

I read that the Vikings and Gophers will share the "viking ship?" The only way that the Vikings get a stadium is to sell the team to the owner of the Timberwolves, the way I see it he has a better chance since he is a local.

Yeah but the Twins want a baseball only stadium and the Gophers want a stadium on campus (the Vikes stadium will be built outside the city if it ever gets built). I know it's nuts.

Red wants to sell the team. The only reason he wants a stadium is it adds 200 million to the selling price when he sells it and it costs him nothing. It is a ruse.

You are right the best bet is to get him to sell to Taylor. Not just for the stadium but for spending on things like a GM and high quality coaches and FAs and front office staffing.

But Minn has money problems even if Taylor buys the team the state can't really afford to build a stadium. Some creative financing will be required. I think Arizona has more money then Minne. how did your stadium get financed wasn't it tourist dollars. I don't think Minn. gets enough tourism. I just hope a team moves to LA before 2011 or the Vikes might end up there.

Wow that stat is actually amazing. I did not know that NFL fans follow there team that closely. The average NFL fan that I talk to, I ask about how they feel about there teams draft class and most don't even know who they landed in the first round. The average Cowboys fan has yet to learn Drew Henson is there QB and that they have added Keyshawn Johnson, it speaks highly of the type of fan they are.

Football has always been #1 for me as a viewer. Basketball was my favorite sport to play. I watched the draft and not the playoff game. Well, I did check in on the game from time to time, but never more than like 2 possesions. I used to LOVE the NBA playoffs, but now I find most games painful to watch. To me, 82-74 is not an NBA score. These games are hack, grab, brick shooting fests, with little team play. The NBA totally blew it after Magic and Bird left. I blame the "Bad Boy" Pistons, the Knicks, the Heat, the Spurs and even the Bulls for playing ugly ball and the league for letting them prosper with that style. That, and all the young kids that are coming in so raw.
