I’m sure you mean 14 game season.
certainly, thank you. 12 games ended with the merger in 1960, well before I was born, lol.
I just remember when they went up to 16 it seemed that nobody raised their standards....and now at 17 it looks like it will be the same....ever since 16 started I have always considered 1300 the marker for a really good season.

Yeah go ahead. Get excited about a wr that needed a 17 game season to top a thousand yds.

1000 yds was a great marker for a RB or WR when it was a 12 game season.

Only about 20 receivers will have 1000 yards or more this year.

You're comparing apples and oranges. It's a different game now, not just in the number of games. In the last year of 14 games nobody topped 860 yards. The year before only 3 passed 1000 and none of those 3 had more than 50 catches. How many 20 yards per reception guys do you see now?

Plus the ball gets shared around much more now. Granted, it's not what is was for 16 games but 1000 yards is still a good barometer for "good".

It was continuing to call pass plays and completely ignoring the run that cost them the game. Even when you suck at running, you still need to keep at it and try to take as much time as possible off the clock.
I see. I didn't watch the game. I just saw they were up 27-0 & blew the lead.
