For much of its modern history, the Florida State football program has been a pipeline to the NFL.

This week, a new batch of Seminoles will hear their names called and achieve a lifelong dream.

The 2025 NFL draft gets started with Thursday night's first round at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Florida State figures to play at least some role in the spectacle, with two players — cornerback Azareye'h Thomas and defensive tackle Joshua Farmer — expected to be selected on the draft's second day.

Still, the program finds itself in a much different position entering the draft than it did a year ago, when it ultimately had 10 players get selected. After a disastrous 2024 season in which it went 2-10 and had only one victory against an FBS program, only Thomas and Farmer are projected safely in the seven-round draft.

Who from Florida State will find its way to the NFL this week? And where are those players expected to land?

Here's a look at where Florida State players are projected to end up in the 2025 NFL draft:

Florida State football players in 2025 NFL mock drafts

Here's a list of Florida State football players who appeared in the seven-round NFL mock draft from Dane Brugler of The Athletic:

  • CB Azareye'h Thomas: Round 2 to the Seattle Seahawks (No. 50 overall)
  • DT Joshua Farmer: Round 2 to the Buffalo Bills (No. 56 overall)
  • K Ryan Fitzgerald: Round 7 to the New England Patriots (No. 238 overall)

Most Florida players selected in NFL draft

Should Brugler's projection become a reality, it would mark the fifth time in the past seven years that Florida State has had no more than three players selected in the NFL draft.

It's a sharp contrast from where the Seminoles were for much of the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s, when they were routinely among the college programs with the most players drafted.

Here's a look at the most Florida State players selected in a single NFL draft:

  • 11: 2015, 2013
  • 10: 2024, 1995
  • 9: 2005, 2001, 1998
  • 8: 2006
  • 7: 2014, 2000, 1997, 1990
