Lauletta has potential. Big difference and why he likely lasts into the 2nd round. That's worked out for a select few later then 1st round drafted QB's, mainly because they had the opportunity AND support around them to cash that in.

There have been many that just didn't have what was needed to succeed. Sometimes the support failed them too. That's why teams have to pay out the nose for a QB that has shown even a moderate kind of success starting in this league. It's rare, because just half the teams have winning records just about, and the losing teams are looking for signal callers half the time.
No easy answers. Sometimes you just hope and pray the draft can produce that need for u, when u need it. Or be prepared to sacrifice other needs to fill a more critical one.

Lauletta does have potential. But he is a 2 to 3 year project and a late third to mid fourth round pick. Mason Rudolph may be on the board at 47. Luke Faulk may also be acceptable as a second round pick. But Lauletta and Mike White are behind those guys as pro prospects
