Ellington is going to be getting alot of running time and/or check downs. He will have quite a few receptions today.

It's probably smart to sit Palmer. It's a nerve issue, and nerve issues can linger. Sharp pain while you are attempting to put touch on passes is no bueno.

This is all about giving him the best shot to be well for 49ers game.

Then hopefully he can recover with the bye week after the 49ers game.

Now that we see it's this bad that he's missing a game, I wonder if this had some impact on his throws the last few weeks. My guess is yes.

Who is reporting it's a nerve issue?

scary but stanton is still better than DA, hall, skelton etc. Hopefully he can lead us to victory. Step up D and HB!

Greg Hardy deactivated for Carolina.. good for them! You are now on the clock, Niners..

don't hold your breath the 9ers ownership comes from a long line of thugs and gangsters
even though debartolo is long gone i feel like that influence is still there

Oh, let me tell you foolish mortals what will happen. Yee who have seen so much from Cardinal days of yore and yet can not realize the cruel twist on thee crest on thy bird's helm. Stanton is going to tear it up. He is going to throw touchdowns in buckets, and then... and then we will be fooled, the franchise thinking we have the QB of the future and he will stink it up for a few years while we wait foolishly for him to reenact what he will do today lol

Verily I say, a plague of locusts shall descend on the Giant side of the field. Or at least gnats or something.something.

Not sure. Just going on what I saw in the preseasono.

The only thing I see different with the preseason and today is DS practiced with the 2nd squad most of the time and this week, he practiced all week with the 1st squad. Hope that makes a difference.

Small sample size stat to have some fun with. This years QBR after week 1.

6th place 111.4
9th place 108.7
10th place 108.4

Cards, Panthers and Titans are the teams associated with those stats. :)

This means Whiz who can't coach QB's with who most said is a bust has Jake Locker has him playing the best thus far.

DA who Whiz couldn't coach and maybe the worst starting QB ever for the Cards played well at least for one week.

Palmer the TO machine last year QB guru's and whisperers had the 3rd best game in this comparison.

NFL is truly a conundrum.
