NFL Schedule Screwed Us/Gives Us Great Advantage

AWESOME!

15 out of 16 games on Sunday afternoons, and the 16th game is Sunday night!

I HATE football games on Thurs, Sat, and Monday.

Sunday is football day, dammit.

Our division makes the schedule tough, but those ARE division games, and anything goes.

As for the rest, I believe we can be competitive against all those teams, but we will see.

I agree. I'm not so disappointed with the schedule like most. Our team is currently ranked in the bottom half of the league. Regardless of the other 10 teams we get, it's not going to get much different. Hopefully all the changes pan out as positively as they imply

I'm certainly capable of misunderstanding a post but when I re-read it, I come to the same conclusion. He said: 15 out of 16 games on Sunday afternoons, and the 16th game is Sunday night!

plus some of the games are in the morning here, just not back east where we're playing. But the players will likely still be used to the clock here. Either way, I'm not mad about the schedule. This team has a lot to prove. Now's their chance

I dont know why everyone wastes their times with these definitive opinions when the NFL has proven time and time again its week to week and trying to guess who will be good and bad is pure folly and entirely dependent on WHEN you play them not the fact that you do.

There are usually 5 teams we know will be good AND 5 we know will be bad, and everyone in between has a shot. I dont think Card are bottom 5 and I dont think they are Top 5. I also dont look at the names of the teams on the schedule and get scared. 1 of the Seahawks/49ers wont meet expectations. I dont buy the Texans will repeat this year. Indy could go either way. Rams might be better then people give them credit for. So might Detroit and Tampa Bay. No one knows. This is the NFL. Its like no one pays attention.

Throwing out records right now is like throwing darts in the dark. Even if you get it right, it wasn't based on what you thought and came to that conclusion with. ANyone else have Cardinals 4-0 last year and lose 11 of 12 from there? Anyone? Anyone?

Besides if you predicted 5 wins or less for Arizona every year since they moved to the Valley you would have been right more than half the time. So it's not really that much of a guess for the Cardinals is it?

Yeah but I guess my point it people have these strong opinions on how many wins and are actually picking wins and losses based on these schedule? LOL its one of those things where if you picked what were W's and what were L's, if it would be by 6 points or less or more then 6 pts in differential, and who the best player from the winning team would be ..... no one would come within 4 games of being accurate. Its like picking the NCAA Tourament 100% right.

Injuries, Thursday night games, travel schedules, Teams that over perform and under perform in different halves of the season all come into play and much of that is unknwn quantities until the week of the game.

I just dont get why I see a lot of optimism from many on the board about the team and things that are happening (which I believe) and then the schedule comes out and everyone is predeicitng 5-11. lmao. We knew who the teams were going to be BEFORE this schedule but now because we go 9er, Seahawks, Falcon, Texans we are gonna blow? The logic makes no sense.

We know nothing different then we knew a week ago. Lets wait till the draft and TC and injuries before we start having strong opinions on things we dont yet fully understand. The incessesant need to predict s*** (led by ESPN and others) and then validate your useless point is so tired. At least for me.

Maybe I just had a long week. Who knows.

When the schedule comes out discussing games you are looking forward too, prime time games, complaining about traveling to the east, tough back to backs - that conversation all makes sense to me. But that's not the majority of what I'm reading. I'm reading "The schedule is tough - we are going to suck" or "we won't win more then 2 games" well we knew who we were playing this season 2 months ago. Why does this make it tougher? Again SOS at the beginning of the season is pointless. Basing any type of assumption of what will happen because of it is even sillier.

I waste countless hours watching endless repetitive hours of Restaurant Impossible. So sue me - you don't have to watch.

You could apply it to football: Black out the audio and video and blindfold every fan. At the end of each game, remove the blindfold to determine who won.

One problem with that. You Yankees can't go to the beach or play golf or go fishing during football season because everything is frozen. Well I guess you could go ice fishing. So why not spend time dissecting the schedules?
