yeah, the last Super Bowl that awful was Ravens-Giants. Difference there is everyone KNEW that game was going to be awful. I feared Seattle unleashing hell on Manning, but for the game to NEVER be close was just painful to watch from, literally, the opening snap.

I believe this is the biggest blowout since Dallas/Buffalo and it was reminiscent of the Super Bowls that plagued the 80's. And Peyton Manning is beginning to solidify himself as the biggest choke artist of all time. Sure he did win a Super Bowl but that's because his team faced a team QB'd by Rex Grossman. At least his brother bested Tom Brady twice, something Peyton has been unable to do.

not only that, but Manning needed a HUGE 20 point miracle comeback victory, at home, against a really pedestrian 10-6 Pats team in the AFC title game back in 2006 to even get to that Super Bowl which was dominated by his defense and his running game.

Manning is nothing more than this generations Marino with one SB win. He just can't win the big game when needed, but puts up phenomenal numbers.

agreed. the guy is a great talent, tactician, but it's undeniable that when the chips are down and pressure's turned to 11, he just rarely rises to the occasion.

11 consecutive seasons with 10 or more wins. Wouldn't we love to have that instead of all our 5-11 seasons. I don't think I'd know how to act if Arizona went 12-4 for 5 years in a row and made the playoffs 13 times in 14 years.

But like I've written before expectations change and making the playoffs isn't good enough any more. I remember Whitey Herzog getting fired in KC because his teams were in the playoffs every year but couldn't bring home the big trophy more than once.
