As others have pointed out, Cam Talbot and the Flames seem like a good fit. Calgary still looking at all options and Talbot’s camp still talking to other teams, but it’s a decent possibility.

Another option for Vegas might be to spend an asset to trade the remaining contract of David Clarkson. Otherwise trading Miller or Gusev seem like most likely scenarios.

Just spoke with Joe Pavelski’s agent, Dan Plante. The overwhelming sense now is that Pavelski will be moving on to another team as a free agent. Sounds like the end of an era in San Jose

TOR and OTT appear to have a tentative trade in place that would send Nikita Zaitsev to OTT in exchange for Cody Ceci. There may be another part or parts to it but the deal can’t be finalized until July 1, when TOR pays Zaitsev’s $3M signing bonus.

It may well be there is a sweetener going from TOR to OTT to facilitate Zaitsev for Ceci. It could be a player (Connor Brown?) or it could be a pick. But there will no doubt be some additional piece going from TOR to OTT.
