Yea they were, we threw away a somewhat convincing win and made it as ugly as we could.

Great road win.

I'd say act like you've been there before, but I haven't ever been here! First home opener loss in Foxboro ever!!!!

I think first opening home loss at that particular stadium? They play somewhere else besides Foxboro before?

Road win, quality opponent, 10am local time start

There were times when a road game vs a good team starting at 10am meant "ugly, ugly loss".

In Gillette stadium, not ever. Still a great win, no matter how stressful that last minute was.

Your thread title is fairly low key. Freaking phenomenal road win.

It's time to savor the win instead of looking at the negatives. The Cardinals beat the Seahawks and New England to open the season and are now 2-0. Wow. Again the Cardinals just beat New England on the road. The constant has been the defense. Something to build off of, especially carrying over last seasons win streak.

The understatement was intentional.

Well played sir.

I did get a bit giddy in the 3rd qtr when the lead reached 20-12. I hoped we could get at least a FG but felt this D would not allow a TD and 2 pt conversion.

The R Williams fumble was devastating and actually did come as a bit of a surprise because I thought the Cards had crossed that hurdle. There it was though and it felt so much like SOC's.

Of course that was in the heat of the moment as this game was nothing like SOC's. A D that pretty much owned a top 3 offense in the league is not something we have ever done.

I said to my wife that the heralded Cards FG blocking unit will make a play. While we didn't actually block the kick we have seen in recent years what CC and DRC which now is Peterson has caused kickers to pull kicks.

I think most of us feel this was a very well earned win and not just some lucky break at the end.
