Several of us did think that was gonna happen though. The case against him wasnt very strong to beging with and when it comes to high profile people like NFL players it needs to be to get charged let alone convicted .The case against the arresting officer could very well have had something to do with it.

Itll be interesting to see whether Goodell still tries to make an example out of Porter but i doubt that as well.

Great news. There will not be a suspension.

You dont need to be charged with anything to be suspended according to the league conduct policy. Dont think he will though.

Also this news is no surprise. This happens all the time even for us regular people. DA just doesnt feel it was worth their time, happens all the time.

That is true. But I just don't think it will happen at this time. At least I hope not.

Hopefully Joey Porter will learn a lesson from this and will remain "contrite" even if he is not totally in the wrong.

Only thing he needs to learn is that there is nothing good that could happen by being in a Taco Bell parking lot at 1:30 am. Unless of course you are there to get an awesome 5 layer burrito and some cinnamon twists.

Plus eat it in your car and wash it down with a bottle of Tequila with a cop car parked nest to you!!

Ive been eating healthy @ Taco Bell lately. Get chicken tacos and burritos fresca style.

But im sure he was there for the 7 layer nachos, which if you're in the mood for consuming 2500 or so calories, then it works for you :D

True story. Fitz wasnt in India just handing out hearing aids, he was also handing out 5 layer burritos. In most cases the people picked the burrito over the hearing aid.

we should still cancel his contract, right haters?

I would.

What is to say his bad judgement doesn't come up to bite him, and the people counting him at another time.

You only get one first impression. I am very wary about what Porter's effect on this team, and its youth is going to have.

It is more of the fact that he is 33, was brought in to be a leader, came to AZ to be near the area he just got arrested in, just got a new contract, etc., etc., etc.

Just wreaks of a bad situtation.

Only thing he needs to learn is that there is nothing good that could happen by being in a Taco Bell parking lot at 1:30 am.

That fact he is just learning this now ...........

It just doesn't sit well with me, that is all I am saying.

Don't worry, I will be hypocritically singing his praises if he gets 10 sacks this year. Thus proving my weak will against putting personal validity before Cardinals football. It can be a harsh mistress.

That is all well and good, but the real question is, Do you like Taco Bell 5 layer burritos or cinnamon twists?

Obviously it was BS... they decided not to press charges.
eh. I don't want to open the whole can of worms again, but the evidence may have been insufficient but that doesn't mean it was BS.

...and, for the record, I didn't think he'd get convicted on those charges based on what the reports were saying...but that doesn't mean I thought he was completely innocent, either.

Well lets see if this thread gets 20 pages of the morality police telling us to void his contract and burn him at the stake.

You have seen the pictures of me on this site.

I can destroy about 10 of those bad boys. But, my personal favorite, is like, 15 soft taco supremes, and a mexican pizza.

Cinnamon twists, I am hot and cold on. I seemed to like them more in college when I had "appetite inhancers" to help the cause.

Love me some Taco Bell, but it has to be a "good" Taco Bell. Nothing better then finding a "good" Taco Bell. It is such slop but mmmmmm it is good.

5 layer burrito is good, but they need to bring the chili cheese burrito back pronto. Only place they still sell it is Ohio, and I think it is just because they feel bad for people who live in Ohio.
