for now anyway. If Wilks was getting canned it would have been announced all at once. We might see a player or two demoted/cut but that’s about it. If I were keim I would be talking to Holcomb and letting him know he’s next if there aren’t some big adjustments to what we’re doing. Is he capable of going back to a 3/4?

I agree with this, incremental changes.

McCoy is gone, if our offense improves but our defense doesn't, Holcomb is next.

Last man standing to be fired is Wilks.

Also, I don't think going to a 3-4 fixes the issue, it is putting players in the position to succeed. They can still screwup a 3-4 by staying completely in nickel..._like they are doing now_

I think there are some players that should be walking soon:

JJ Nelson - Guy should have never made the roster. Runs terrible routes and can't catch. You can add coward to the list of his traits.

Brandon Williams - Guy should have never made the roster. Terrible in coverage and "supposedly" made the team because of special teams. Well he sucks at special teams as well!

Rudy Ford - This kid looks lost. Not sure he would be on any other NFL roster.

No. They didn't know not to run nickel on short yardage situations. All the staff are low IQ individuals starting with McCoy who must be the lowest IQ of them all.

I am not ready to say that the defense is a lost cause. It takes time for scheme changes on defense to truly take effect. I can still remember the start of Horton's tenure as DC not looking so hot, but he ended up turning the Cards into one of the best defenses in the NFL. The offense on the other hand has been easily the worst in the league and there is no excuse for that whatsoever. At least the defense has shown actual flashes of good play, but the offense really hasn't.

I see very little reason for hope and I hate half measures. This start deserves a total flush up to and including the GM and I can understand not doing that now but here's what I would like to see.

GM fired 3/4 mark to find a new one, no later than that, then five seconds after the season ends, entire staff is let go.

Nothing else will satisfy me at this point and I see no legit reason other than saving money to do that. Deactivating Bradford so you don't have to pay his bonus is so bush league it's unfunny.

Not because he deserves the money, he doesn't, but because it means the crop of possible FA you can hire is greatly reduced they won't come here to be treated like that.

It's idiotic and caveman like based in today's NFL, it's not done for that very reason, even if it's morally the right thing it's a stupid business decision and that's why this franchise sucks because it makes stupid decisions all the time.

Agree. I hate Wilks right now, but it's a bad look for the future if Bidwill cleans house midway thru the season.

The right move was to can McCoy. That singular move may rejuvenate the entire team.

Too many fan hawt takes on this board right now. Some people need to have some perspective on the entire situation.

Regarding the defense you absolutely can change to a 3-4 during the season. I remember many years ago the Cards came out with a totally new 5-2 lineup they called the heavy jumbo or something similar. They dominated the LOS that game.

We've been a 3-4 team for years now, we can absolutely go back, remember when he was hired he very emphatically said he was not married to a 4-3, he understood we had been a 3-4 team since 07, were a top defense the last 3 years, and he wasn't necessarily going to change that. Obviously he has, but he said then he's coached both styles and isn't married to the 4-3.

If he's really doing what he said he was, evaluating everything, it's entirely possible to go back to a 3-4. Not saying he will, but he can.

Wilks ain't getting canned and neither is Keim. The scapegoat is gone and now they just play out the season and re-eval after.

I agree with the first two but Ford is a good special teamer, that just isn't a very good safety yet due to lack of experience.

Worst Cardinals team in my 43 years as a fan!!! That’s a reflection of everyone involved.

Need another perspective?

I will always remember what Wilks did in the final two minutes of a game to a rookie QB down 35 points. Unless the bozo wins a super bowl for cardinals, the man will always remain the worst head coach ever.

How do you hang onto a head coach or the GM if you’ve canned both coordinators in season 1? There’s no bigger indictment of ineptitude in decision making if you can both coordinators in year 1.

There’s no chance Wilks keeps his job if this team keeps playing like it has...NO CHANCE imo.

I just can’t see Michael not pulling the plug. BTW I don’t think anything I’d going to change for this team, in fact it’s going to get worse with the upcoming schedule.

Yes this is the worst Cardinals team in my 43 years! Without a doubt.

Probably a terrible idea, I've worked at University too long where ditching coordinators is a 'thing' before firing the haed coach.

I doubt we see any more coaching changes for the rest of the year.

From here on, we will see players benched or cut.

Wilks and Keim's will be determined if they can keep from losing the players.

I think Keim’s seat is hotter than ppl think. If the offense doesn’t improve and Rosen continues to get battered MB will clean house IMO. Keim has had one hell of a 3 month run.

Once he gets canned I'll just make sure to stay away from the City of Chandler at night, don't want to t-boned by him in an intersection.

I agree.

Are we sure he hasn’t lost this team already? Nothing works they are being taught on offense or defense & they’re getting dominated pretty much every game.

I think what is happening on the field is the perfect definition of a HC that’s lost his team.

It’s not that the team is losing it’s HOW it’s losing. Pure domination each week.
