that's asinine - no RVs either?! - i know people who went to last years game, by get this, travelling there in their RV and taking advantage of the parking provided by the stadium

i understand this is pretty much a corporate event - but just the tone of this lady is crazy - you have plenty of opportunity to blow your hard earned cash at any league sponsored event, so there is no need to grill some food & drink beer prior to the game - please reserve this activity for inside the stadium so we can get $10 a beer and $15 snack as you make way to your $500 seat that you had to buy aftermarket for $2,000 because we funnel the majority of our excess tickets to brokers

It ain't football unless you tailgate.

I don't think I would even enjoy going to the Super Bowl.

If I stumble upon tickets I will surely sell them, unless the Cards are in.

This really isn't a big deal. The Super Bowl is blown out of proportion and not really a regular football game.

I went to the Super Bowl last year. They had all the streets directly around the stadium blocked off and they had a huge fence around the entire stadium area with one single entry point. Why? Because, to enter the stadium, you had to stand in a one hour long line to move through a giant tent complete with metal detectors and pat downs. It was like the airport.

Besides, I guarantee you that the great lawn and the oversized parking lot will be filled with media trucks, VIP tents, and all kinds of crap at next year's super bowl. In fact, every empty space around the stadium had some NFL tent, VIP tent, first aid tent, police tent, etc.

i was there as well...and yes i sure do remeber that line....couldn't see the beginning of it...yeah it took about 45 minutes to get in to the area where the entrance was....sort of like trying to get onto the pirates of the caribbean ride at disneyland when it first opened and was an "e ride"

It sounds like it would be more fun to stay home and party!

Exactly. When the World Series was in Houston, a friend of mine got 4 tickets via the official lottery (so he paid face value). he kept 2 for himself and sold the other 2 on ebay or something. He took a nice long vacation with the proceeds from that sale.

Capitalism at work...

Just a question for WHOEVER...BIG IF...let's say miracles occurred and the Cardinals were hosting THEIR OWN Super Bowl next year...As Season Ticket Holders we are offered ticket for the playoffs for home games...what about a home game Super Bowl? Are we considered like every other puke and Cardinal basher out there that wants tickets for the Super Bowl?

Just curious...

The Cardinals would get 22.5% (16,380) of all tickets, since they would get the NFC Champs and Host Team share.

AFC Champion - 17.5 percent (12,740)
NFC Champion - 17.5 percent (12,740)
Host Team (Dolphins) - 5.0 percent (3,640)
Other 29 Teams - 34.8 percent (25,334 or 874 per team)
NFL - 25.2 percent (18,346)

based on expanded 72,800 seats

Finally someone said it. Its less about greed and more about the security issue.

It may not even be totally their decision, I am sure like most events they have a threat analysis team that presented them suggestions to ensure the safety of those attending the game.

Thanks abomb...I guess it will be based on a lottery system and number of tickets/years for STH.
