I heard an interview with Sarver and he said that Noah, Brewer & Yi Jianlian were all at last nights Suns game as guests of the Suns team. I don't know if these guys worked out for the team in preparation for the draft or not. Just thought it was kind of interesting that these are the guys they brought in.

Very interesting. I just hope they aren't counting their chickens before they hatch - unless Stern has a *wink*wink* deal with them assuring them the 4th pick....

Works for me. Stern owes us one.

Knowing Stern, I'm sure that part of the fine print in the Amare/Boris suspensions makes us swap the Atlanta pick for the Spurs pick.

The Suns desperately need length. They don't necessarily someone extremely tall, but someone with a giant wingspan wouldn't hurt.

Noah is the Suns pick. Just watch...

I wouldn't be surprised although he may be a smokescreen. I think the Suns do like his athleticism although his shooting is shaky. However, the Suns may feel they can correct his shooting like Jeff Hornacek.

I think the bigger news is Horford wasn't there...or Brendan Wright.

Anyone done any thinking about what the Suns do if they do not get the Atlanta pick? I've been wondering if the Suns could get a trading partner (perhaps even with Atlanta at #11) to move up in the draft with pick(s) if there is someone on the board the Suns really like. I only mention Atlanta because they would probably want their pick back next year and they probably could absorb a contract. There hopefully might be better trading partners that could fetch the Suns a better player. Anyway just thinking.

I wonder if the Suns could swing their two #1 picks and Diaw for Joe Johnson.

Just remember that we will most likely get the #5 pick overall, not #4, if we do get a pick. #4 is far less likely.

My feeling is that it will be #5 or not at all. It bugs me but those are the odds.

We should still be able to get Brewer at #5. My hope is that Noah goes before that, so that we're not tempted to take him...

I always get depressed when I think about Oliver Miller. He could've been something else if he could've stayed away from the buffets.

and imagine if Dumas could stay away from the cocaine! Good lord, that front court would have been UNBELIEVABLE.

Dumas
Barkley
Miller

all athletic, a shot blocker and good rebounders, not to mention two great passing big men and one of THE best finishers in the league.

I've been trying to put my finger on who Tyrus Thomas reminds me of athletically and it hit me tonight - it's Richard Dumas. Such a shame that he couldn't kick his coke habit - he already had a sick finger roll, decent 15-18 foot jumper and okay handles. He was gonna be a MEGA-STAR. He just had that natural ability to rise and glide.

Re-watching some of the Suns-Bulls finals, Dumas was basically Carmelo Anthony ten years ahead of time. I don't like to play the what-if game though because a small roster difference may have totally changed the course of the team, in either direction.

I heard they're interested in Marcus Banks' cousin, who has mad defensive skills constantly on display in the Las Vegas city league.
