I heard an interview with Sarver and he said that Noah, Brewer & Yi Jianlian were all at last nights Suns game as guests of the Suns team. I don't know if these guys worked out for the team in preparation for the draft or not. Just thought it was kind of interesting that these are the guys they brought in.

The Suns have to be prepared in case they get that pick. It can only help to schmooze a bit. :D It also shows who they are really interested in. I just prey that they are seriously not considering Noah. After watching that guy in the tourny I am convinced he will never amount to anything special in the NBA IMO.

I think the bigger news is Horford wasn't there...or Brendan Wright.

You can't be serious. These workout usually include just 4 players. Why else would they have been invited?

It's even rare that 3 top picks work out against each other. You can't have it all, I am 10000000% sure that Horford and Wright will also work out for the Suns and they will likely be asked to workout against each other unless we don't get the pick.

I don't believe these players that were at the game actually worked out. Anyone can confirm? I remember reading earlier that workouts will be held later this year than usual. Also, I doubt the Suns would be brining in top picks for workouts before they know they have the Hawks pick.

well one thing you can be sure if is that they werent there to work out. no teams can work out players until after the (i dodnt understand why they left chicago) orlando pre draft camp.

I think it shows who they are interested in with Atlanta's pick. Brewer and Noah but no Horford? That's strange.

I am very high on Brandan Wright. I hope Horford leaps over him and he falls to us.

Not really and especially the Suns wouldn't be so dumb. Yi, Brewer and Noah are working out together before the draft workouts in Los Angeles. Most likely the Suns dont have anything to do with it and they were simply spectators.

Sarver made it seem like the Suns invited them to the game as their guests. Also, it's possible they invited Horford and he had a previous engagement, but Sarver didn't mention it.

My feeling is that it will be #5 or not at all. It bugs me but those are the odds.

I have a bad feeling about it...I played the ESPN draft lottery 6 times in a row before I got a scenario without Atlanta having one of the top 3 picks...and then it was Phoenix with the number 5 pick.

Atlanta was playing well before JJ got injured...if they get a top 3 pick, our 2008 pick could end up being in the twenties.

I don't know about that. Atlanta always finds a way to screw it up. I thought they had enough talent to go to the playoffs this year, and they still sucked. I would not be surprised if they were in the lottery again next year, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a top 5 pick.

Chicago was horrible every year (after Jordan left) until we had their pick.

No and No to Noah. his offensive game is suspect and i dont want to see him get the ball and have no post moves or jumper. he's energetic and athletic but thats about it. we dont have time to wait a few years to see IF he would develop and NBA game. i'd take Yi before him cuz at least he has some offensive skills.

Noah reminds me of Anderson Varejao on the Cavs. A great hustle player, a good role player, but not a starting caliber player and not really worthy of a #4 or 5 pick. Yi is also a tough pick because even though he has talent and size, the language barrier and transition to America is going to be a huge challenge for him so I don't know how much he'll be able to contribute in his 1st year or two.

They were there as Sarver's guest.

and any great chinese player coming to the US is not going to be given the opportunity to rest during the offseason. as i recall yao only recently was given a break from playing with the chinese national team.

imagine playing 1 year with the suns, going back home to play all off season, only to come back and do it all again. brutal.

There are your three guys, I guess. The Suns will likely choose one of them if they wind up with Atlanta's pick.

I've never disliked Noah as everybody else seems to, but now I'm starting to get enthusiastic about him--reading DX with their glowing hype-filled review of Brewer, for instance, then in the next section they casually mention that Noah clearly looks better.

All three guys have been working out together, so it makes sense that they would do it together. If they wanted to go to a basketball game, this series is the best one going on right now.
