Yesterday Lawrence was 28 for 34 for 371 yards and a QBR of 126.1, and a win. Slightly better game that Murray, wouldn't you say?
No wonder we won, the Niners were exhausted after playing Jax earlier in the day. Oh wait, Jacksonville didn't play the Niners yesterday?! Hmm

murray was off the hook the second he put that hand up - mhj was off the hook when he brought it down on 4th down - idk what the fg kicker's name is but he's off the hook after nailing the game winner - wilson was literally off the hook - defense pitched a shut out in the second half against a superbowlic offense - off the heezy for sheezy - gannon going for the 2 pt conversion literally allowed him to break free and swim away from said hook - there's a reason they say winning fixes everything

Going for two was an alpha decision. We wanted to win in regulation not tie and go to OT vs a better team.
lol @ alpha

Those kinds of decisions/gambles are for good teams that can afford to be on the losing end of a few risky games and still be well in the playoffs. That ain't us.

^^ not an alpha mindset

I will never criticize this team if they give the ball to James Conner in a big moment with one yard on the line.

And that's what it comes down to. One mindset will inspire your team while the other will make them loathe you.

And if you watched the play, Conner was met in hole by no less than three SF defenders.

He bounced off their puny human tackle attempts, and cut around one of his offensive lineman into the endzone for two.

On that drive, he was on a different level than the other players on the field.

It was an incredible effort play that isn't getting the attention it deserves. They had it defensed perfectly. Literally two defenders in the hole that hit him and leg drives around them into the end zone. Beast

And when Gannon makes a dumb "alpha" decision that costs the team a game, you'll come back to explain how it was still the right call? I have my doubts. Lots of "alpha" decisions around the league that totally backfire. Thinking you should "always" making "alpha" decisions is funny. Exchange "always" with "sometimes" and it makes much more sense.

Going for 2 there is a dumb decision every time, just like the 4th down fade play call in the other game. Both worked, but man, really stupid decisions.
I feel like we regularly tell our coaches to keep their foot on the gas, go for the throat. Play for the win. But Gannon did, and we question the thought. It wouldn't really have occurred top me. Take the points (granted, its now a 35 yard XP), and move along. But going for two, with the run game clicking, and then making victory an easier proposition, and not guaranteeing a loss by missing, was an inspired decision IMO.

It's interesting, because if the consideration of going for 2 has anything to do with the fact the the K was just signed that week, and not having full trust in him, you do exactly that by making his leg the reason for the win, and not KM, JC, MHJ.

Stout man I guess JG is trying to change the culture of the NFC West.

Fans forget about big **** moves like running right through the 49ers face for that conversion, but the players and coaches remember it longer.

Its fits and starts, but phase one of a rebuild is play hard, play disciplined and retake your division.

We're seeing a fair amount of that in 2024 and I'm damn proud of the team so far.

MO/JG/NR/DP not perfect but dammit they trying.

Seems like JG has a little Dan Campbell in him.

Glad to see it.
