I have had DTV's Sunday Ticket since it's inception, but I can't get myself to renew it.. Still be a Cardinal fan.. will catch them when I can, but I can't get over the BS with the lockout etc.. Not going to support this greed with my wallet any longer.

Anyone else here come to a similar conclusion?

If they settle soon, I will keep it. If they miss games, I will reevaluate.

It doesn't take much to get them to come down on that price. And it is worth getting choice of games on Sunday, even if Cards game isn't worth watching.

Been playing the "Customer retention" price game for over a dozen years.. That weighed in the decision as well.

I have thought about it but I know I would cave in when games start. I too have had the ticket since the inception and almost stopped it when it hit $200. Called before the first game and subscribed. I live in Illinois...it is either the ticket or some crappy tv in the corner of a bar...where I know I would spend more than twenty bucks.

It's ridiculous what you guy's pay for Sunday Ticket.

I have a Sports Pack with my local cable company for $29.00 a month that gives me:

NFL Sunday Ticket
NHL Centre Ice
The NBA package
The Major League Baseball package
A Premier League soccer package
A College football and Basketball package
Junior and College hockey

And for that knowledge..... I now hate Canada. (but I might move to Vancouver someday). Damn Mounties!!!!

Oh... And I will continue to be gouged by DTV until Verizon FIOS gains the ticket.

Two of my friends called DirecTV and "threatened" to shut off their Sunday NFL Ticket. The customer service reps (or retention department, depending on who takes your call) negotiated the entire package down to $120. This leads me to believe that there are many who have canceled or have inquired about canceling.

The Ticket is their bread and butter. They have exclusive rights to it and it's what gets people to switch to DirecTV. For me, the Ticket was the only reason I switched over from Cox. Have been a customer now for 7 years.

I always say I will cancel if I cant get a discount but it's always worked for me in the past. You can usually find out the available discounts at dbstalk.com in the Direct TV forums.

They got till August 1st, and even then I am not sure.

Heck, I am not sure about he NFL as a whole right now. If it is all about money, and it is nothing but a business then as a fan can you really lie to yourself and say it is your team, and that they want to win ?

I canceled it and Direct never offered a deal so I will do without it.

If that happened, I wouldn't be upset. Would just get the soccer package.

Yeah, but the soccer package is a joke. I once ordered it, and it gave a handful of extra Premier League games a week. No no no no no...I wanted all of my team's games, at the minimum. Suffice to say, I quickly canceled it.

I cannot help myself. I signed on when it first came to my city many many years ago and will continue no matter how horrible they are.

No. In Canada it's available through cable providers, as well as satellite firms.

You realize that reminding us how cheap the NFL ticket is in Canada is like putting salt in our wounds? Canada has refined pirate tv to a fine art. :)

The only packages I am interested in must have the Cardss (all games) and the Cubs. The Cubs on my I-Pad is really great. MLB app gives you the games and if you have wi-fi anywhere you have the Cubs.
