I was hoping someone would have rave reviews of this FPS... I'm going to trade in Frontline and a few other games to get it, me thinks...
Nothing on Rainbow 6, Vegas 2???

I've always been just "Eh" on Rainbow 6 games. I love playing co-op missions online though. Its the only thing keeping COD4 from being absolute perfect.
I am going to pick it up. One of my favorite online games to play. Much more tactical then COD4. So for me, it's a game I will play when I am looking for a change of pace.
Plus the online Terrorist and Mission Hunts are a blast online in CO-OP. Evidently, this franchise is one of the only ones that get it.

I just spent all night playing the PC version Coop with a friend. It's hard, but it's very good. It was a lot of fun to play, I'm diggin it.

Only the newer games in the series have been Linear. Lockdown was like that as was Vegas 1. The old Rainbow Six titles like Raven Shield weren't linear at all. Vegas 2 isn't as linear either, you can all go different ways or stay together, but splitting up on Vegas 2 isn't a good idea. The NPC AI is brutal but beatable.
It's way fun coop.

Definately like this game!!! I haven't played CoD4 since I started. Although I heard the online play blows. Would like to do a Co-op Terrorist hunt...

A friend and I went through the entire story line Co-Op.. the end is ridiculous hard, but it was cool. Terrorist hunt is fun coop as well. It's difficult, but not as insanely impossible as Vegas 1.

IMO this is way better than the first R6V... My friend and I are playing the 'terrorist hunts' on realistic and pretty much get our asses handed to us on a regular basis. You definately need at least three people. Have not done head to head yet.
Ditto. Terrorist Hunt is harder it seems now on Realistic. Plus I noticed that if you don't get yourself in a position to cover all paths leading to you...your toast. The game AI flanks you much more it seems.
So, if your going to stay put somewhere have all your entry ways/exits covered or you don't stand a chance.

The AI is insane on this one. A friend and I made it through the regular campaign playing 2 player coop but it was tough. We died so many times I don't even want to count. The AI on this game is the most similar to human players that I have seen yet. Very difficult.
OMG, I was playing with some guys on the map with the condo (I forget the name). We were getting our arses handed to us on Realistic. There are so many corners and angle in the house, you get freaking paranoid. You get scared to even cross into another room, lol.
I have seen so many people just pick a spot and hold there hoping they have enough cover. Its freaking hilarious.

What's cool is, you'll hear them yelling "flank em" or "move around" and the bots they yell too, obey the commands. When you hear that, you better watch your back, cause you're about to get shot in the back of the head.

On the top deck outside I was sort of hiding in that corner under the window. I didn't know they could bust through the window. One came right over my head and scared the bejesus out of me. lol.

I finished this game a few nights ago... The last few acts were truly a pain in the buttock!!!

The helicopter part made me want to jump out of a window.
The worst part is when you make the heli go away....then realize a few seconds later it comes back.
Then after making the heli go away for good...you have to fight the onslaught of guys rushing to the tennis court.
I mean come on.....

I found one thing that sucks on this game. On the PC version, the story mode Co-op is 2 player max.
You have 4 in your squad, but 2 of them have to be AI. Lame.

co-op storyline in the Xbox version is the same. two team mate players plus two team mate AI players I believe. Terrorist hunt allows for 4 co-op players.
