The Cards have what seems to be a cakewalk schedule for November (CAR, @CHI, SEA, @STL, @TEN). They should be able to go 5-0, but CHI and TEN could prove to be road tests (CHI moreso than TEN).

Keep in mind that they open December with MIN (Favre with 6 TDs last year as a Jet vs. the Cards), so him combined with AP more than likely equals a loss.

IF they ended up 5-0, they'd be 9-2 looking to coast into the playoffs or even fighting for homefield throughout at least the NFC.

There's a strong chance they could go 4-1 to be 8-3 and have a near lock on the division.

They shouldn't go less than 3-2 to be 7-4 with little room to breathe (if any).

Basically, this month should tell us exactly where we end up.

Here's to a dominating November reign by the Cards....

I can not, and will not, endorse this thread.. It has undertows of superirority(reign).. I come from a place where I saw the Cards be nothing.. I refuse to become a arrogant fan of my team... Do I expect bigger things from these current Cards? Yes sir.. But I will not subject myself to almighty football Gods.. Cards fans should remain humble as we have come from humble beginnings.. Stay hungry, and eat as much as we can..

That's not the intent of 'reign' in this thread. I am calling for (hoping for) the Cards to reign supreme this month. I am not saying that they will. I'm sure you, as a Cards fan, also would like for them to reign over their opponents this month.....

I look at the schedule, and I see hope, but I still don't have faith that this team is beyond the extreme inconsistencies. We can play up to match the big names, but play appallingly down to the level of the less impressive teams.

WE ARE the REIGNING 2009 NFC CHAMPIONS or do we have to claim 2008?

When did we CROWN our arse?:D Lets just go "BACK TO BACK".:band::fans::band:

That's what confuses me, Doug. According to other NFL fans, last year means nothing...it was a fluke, and yet the niners are awesome because they have 5 Super Bowl Rings, the Cowboys are bad ass because they won 3 Rings in a decade, etc, etc. Trying to make sense out of it makes my head hurt. :)

I sure am enjoying the ride and I agree with Gee! in the fact that I want to be proud of my team, but I don't want to be an a-hole like the opposing fans I had to deal with at SDS years ago when the Cardinals sucked ass.

I think the fact that the Cardinals have a banner that proclaims, ('NATIONAL FOOTBALL CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS 2008'), hanging in the Nest should allow them to 'reign' in conference play until someone hangs a newer one.

I think that is what WHiz is saying to the guys right now, (relax, play easy----have fun, and if we make a mistake, we can overcome it). That is what you do when you are confident and on top of your game.

I say "heck yeah", have some fun, go for it, and enjoy it along the way. These are the times that build memories, and the good Lord knows, someday that is all we will have to take with us.

I'll argue this big-time. I'm not saying we're definitely going to win, but IMO it sure in the heck isn't more than likely a loss! They have AP, but we eat RBs for breakfast, and right now we're very hungry! They have Favre, who wilts under pressure now, and we've discovered how to play aggressive, blitzing defense with confusing coverages. It should be one heck of a game, but I don't think it tilts either way right now.

Agree with Stout on this one, better not be chalking this up as an L as I'm going to fork out a bunch of $$ to go see the game.

Although caution still "reigns" when thinking and talking about our beloved Cardinals, it seems to me they have been getting a bit stronger each week since the season began. So to have hope of that continuing is not far fetched. I see no worse than a 4-1 November this year (4 W's, that is). With that, this.

Hey! AZMIke...

I was thinking the same thing the next day after the Al Michaels' comments the nite before. I mean we had just beaten the BIG, BAD, (5-1) GIANTS, IN NEW YORK, and ALL he can do is reference the PAST?? C'MON! I just think that the avg. NFL fan is oblivious to NFL history. What were the Steelers BEFORE Noll & Bradshaw?? What were the 49'ers BEFORE Walsh & Montana?? What were the Colts BEFORE Bill Polian became GM and drafted Peyton Manning?? ANSWER: NOT MUCH!!

Sometimes I visit the Yahoo msg."boards" and I'm surprised at the venom spit at the Cards. I guess the idea that the Cards might actually be GOOD now is more than their limited intelligence can handle. The way I see it there is the Cardinals' history BEFORE UofP. ...And AFTER. Before?? NOT so good except for the Coryell years in St. Louis. After? Well, let's see. Western Division Championship, NFC Championship, Super Bowl appearance, 24-18 record under Whiz' (3-1 in the play-offs), an energized, loyal fan-base that has sold out EVERY game at UofP; 4-5 years of drafting SOLID players ie; Campbell, Hightower, Breaston, Sendlein, etc.... This is NOT a team living in the PAST but BOLDLY going where NO Cardinal team has gone before. ...And WE get to ENJOY the ride.:) GO CARDINALS! SHOCK THE WORLD...AGAIN!! :D

I couldn't imagine that the Pats had it any better early on in their successes. Granted, they HAD made it to a SB before, but they had a pretty rough history until recently....

They have Favre, who wilts under pressure now,
Have you watched any football this year, Stout? :) Favre has been GREAT under pressure this year. Hell, he won the 9ers game by avoiding a sack and throwing an impossible pass to the back of the end zone.

Minnesota is going to be the toughest game on the schedule, IMO.

favre has been sacked 18 times but still I agree with you pariah about him playing at a very high level. He is just letting pass rushers strip him of the ball, like last week his fumble led to a td and a tip pass int. led to another pick 6 I'm sure you're well aware of.

He needs a stiff blitz and things start to happen. That vikings line is'nt the best pass blocking line in the league by a mile. They run block much better.

I'm not up to Farve yet. We have a way to go. Carolina a team that is up in the air. They have a decent to good defense. If we can stop thier runners and they are pretty good, we will win. I have been too almost every game since 88(missed two games) and feel that this is by far our best team. But we will not get respect until we win the big one, and even then they will say not how good we are, but how lucky the other team didn't play well.

NO ONE CAN STEAL YOUR JOY THOUGH!!!:D BUY EXTRA WORLD CHAMPION GEAR TO WEAR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.IN CASE WE DON'T REPEAT ANYTIME SOON!All kinds of vendors across America try to make money off the winners by making rare Championship items out of leather and different rare items you have to buy.Just put em' up in your closet till you want to wear them to the next years game.Just buy 2 or 3 so you'll always have a brand new looking one.In case one is stolen or lost or gets something on it.

The next five weeks could be very fun on this board. The vikes game will be a major touchstone game like the giants game was.I just don't want to peak too soon.Whiz has his finger on the pulse and I trust him to have our guys jacked when the pressure is turned up.Thats when Kurt Warner plays his best by far.The past proves it.Warner is 8-3 in the playoffs.Lost two SB's by a slim margin both in the last seconds and a playoff game to the saints in the superdome where AZ Hakim fumbled the punt that would have led to at least a game winning field goal in 2000.Kurt threw for 3 touchdowns in a comeback in 4th quarter in that game.He just refuses to lose in bigtime playoff games.

I just don't see this team going 10-0 rest of the way. Possible, but unlikely. They are just too inconsistent and i have yet to see the explosive offense from last year's playoffs.

He's made a few good plays, yes, but most of the time when he has defenders closing on him, he's thrown it away or been sacked. 18 times, after all. If you get pressure on him, chances are he won't make that big play any more.
