Keim just did an interview with Dave Pasch earlier this week.

Are we sure we can limit that to players?
I should’ve included all staff. Yes; otherwise, this wouldn’t be a huge catastrophe

CDC COVID-19 case management protocols as of 3 AUG 21 sets forth a matrix for vaccinated, unvaccinated, and folks who had a documented positive case <6 months. Within each those categories, there are subsections for symptomatic, asymptomatic, and “close contact” individuals. For vaccinated folks in the asymptomatic and close contact sub categories, there is no isolation mandate. I personally know a RN who was vaccinated, tested positive, but asymptomatic- hospital told him to continue coming to work and there were no worries or restrictions.

I wonder if these guys are symptomatic and that’s why they get grounded, or if the league has just decided to go well above and beyond the CDC guidelines.

My feeling is that several players have been a bit too loose outside of the facility.

That's possible, but...

My feeling is that keim is patient zero and got it at a watering hole.

This is my feeling as well. Folks on this board have constantly reported seeing him out and about at bars and restaurants. With his position, with the delta variant, this just isn't wise at this point.

More effective than not wearing one.

The question was what would you like them to do and you answer was to do something that hasn't worked even a tiny bit for the billions infected.

You seem sure on this. I'd be interested to see your reasoning. The UK is in a unique position on this as one country with 4 devolved governments for England, Wales, Scotland and NI with many thing they do the same but some different.

On July 19th England removes all restriction. No masks, no distancing, no passports etc

Scotland and Wales kept masks in schools, masks on public transport and all indoor public spaces like shops, cinemas, restaurants etc and recently introduced passports.

Its nearly 3 months now of no masks in England vs Masks in Scotland and Wales and England has the lowest hospitalisation rates of them all. The difference in mask mandates has made no difference whatsoever.

I don't want to start anything and make Chris's head explode. I'm simply saying we should be basing these decisions on evidence and not orthodoxy.

Brit, if you don't want to start anything, why do feel you HAVE to start something?

Sigh. How did I start something? Who brought up the subject?

Someone else started it. I'm simply trying to point out it's a weak argument and back that up with evidence. As I would anything else.

The person who started it is the one that said they should wear masks.

I'm not anti mask, or anti vax. I'n double jabbed. I'm simply pro evidence and pro science.

Are inoculation rates uniform in all devolved jurisdictions?

My son-in-law has a sister who lives in Wales and commutes daily to work in England, as do many others. So you can present facts that fit your argument, but for me it's all ONE ISLAND COUNTRY.

Ok Garth. If you want to try to invalidate the whole point with the tiny, tiny fraction of people that live in border towns and travel across a border to work then feel free.

This is the problem with trying to have serious debates online. There are 66 million people in the UK and probably less than 250k cross a border for work. And that's being generous.

Just going off CDC recommendations. You can do your own research if you want.

Your anecdotal argument holds close to zero scientific relevance.

I received the combo Moderna and two months later Phizer.

Quebec: 8.5m pop. 86% with two shots & 89% total with jabs.
Glad Quebec has its crap together, unlike most of the US states.

On a side note - I’m actually in the Sanofi COVID booster trial. Early indications show that it’s more reliable than the others, but time will tel
