I say 8. Was thinking somewhere between 7-9 with Matt. So no change IMO!

I did 8 - 8, with Matt I had predicted 6 - 10. I think DA gives us a better chance to win even with his high interception rate. IMO we will put up more points and I do like our defense.

4. I have zero confidence in DA. Hope I eat crow, but that is how I see it now.

I think we'll win more simply because we have a better team surrounding him than in years past, but I have also dropped my win total. I had us at 10 with Matt because of his accuracy and ability to manage the run game. Anderson will cost us games IMO with bad decision making and telegraphed passes to the defense. Like you, I want to eat crow so bad and see Anderson succeed, but as it stands, he is no better than he was in Cleveland

I thought 9-7 with Matt/DA combo.

I think 8-8 with DA the whole season.

All bets are off if DA goes down, which was my caveat in the 9-7 under ML/DA.

I'm going to say 7. I initially thought 8 but the O-line has me really concerned.

I've downgraded to 6, but not because of DA. After seeing the OLine and being unimpressed I lost much hope in our O. The D has been okay but not the caliber that is needed to carry a poor offense.

I'm guessing 10 wins. That our defense is stellar and the scores are close enough for our offense to pull out wins. Then there is the Whiz factor. Hand me the kool-aid!

I think we're 2-3 W's shy with DA at the helm.

JMHO; I hope to God I'm wrong.

Im gonna say 9-7 because i think the offense we are seeing in the preseason is going to look very different in the regular season.

DA gets hurt, Max Hall gets a battlefield promotion, he goes 9-5 as a starter and we win the west.

Then he decides to become a monk next year and disappears.

Adding up the percentages up to and including 8 wins, indicates that 84% of voters do not believe we can make the playoffs with DA.

Too bad this poll wasn't taken the day before coach announced his starting QB for the Chicago game. I doubt the numbers would be much different at that point while we still assumed Leinart was our guy.

Are you suggesting that if we substituted ML for DA in this type of poll that we would have had relatively the same result?

(If so, I certainly don't agree)

Yes, I'm suggesting they'd be pretty similar if you took that poll right after our second preseason game while we all still expected Leinart to start the season. Although this isn't proof, I've seen a number of posters here acknowledge that our preseason performance impacted their opinion more than the QB controversy.

This poll shows that over 80% believe tht we will not make the playoffs with DA. In a another poll after the third game, we were asked who we collectively believed could lead the team to a three-peat: 80% voted in favour of Matt.

6 at the most due to our defense winning that many for us. Note that this is with Whiz calling the plays. Our offense really leaves a lot to desire without MATT.

Are you talking about the poll you started? The one that asked us to choose which QB would lead us to a 3-peat. If so, that poll did not offer a none of the above option which led some (many?) of us to either choose the best of a bad choice or to not vote at all. And many of us did not vote as evidenced by the small turnout that poll recieved (35 votes compared to 58 and counting in this thread).

Keep in mind though that a crucial element of my point was that this hypothetical poll would have needed to be conducted PRIOR to the QB controversy. This controvery has polarized this board and has made Leinart fans out of posters that were still very undecided about him just a few short weeks ago.
