if we win tomorrow and the lakers lose to portland (who gives them fits iirc), we take over first. another chance to do it, hopefully we can take advantage this time.

Awesome game. Very Impressive.

Now, not to be some kind of Andrew, but I really can't figure something out. I feel like a '**** for asking, and I'll probably feel stupid once someone says the answer, but in the boxscores this year, what does BA mean?

Please and thank you.

it stands for "blocked attempts"

How many times that player got blocked.

DAMMIT! That makes so much sense. Blocked Attempts. I was right, I feel like a moron.

Thank you sunsfan, and also to you arwillian. You've put my mind at ease.

Props to Boris for manning up and allowing Carmelo to score only 6 points in the 2nd half. 6 points!

Agreed. Boris put the clamps to him a couple of times. That's all you need sometimes. If you stop Anthony a few times in succession, he loses interest. Did you see him laughing at crunch time like he didn't have a care in the world? If I were a Nuggets fan, I would find Anthony a very frustrating player to root for.

I agree. I've never found Carmelo to be very personable or likable. He's a great player, but he never seems to me to have any passion--not like Lebron James does. Or even Allen Iverson, who is still amazing after all these years.

Agreed, but anti-props (?) to Boris for continuing to be afraid to shoot when he has an open shot. It was ridiculous tonight.

you couldn't say that to Kevin Garnett, or maybe even dwight howard. I'd say Kg is the only one who can match amare offensively and dominate defensively, however.

Neither guy has ever come close to the offensive output that Amare is giving right now.

There’s more to the game than scoring, Buf. KG and DH are still superior to Amare.

I'd rather Boris hold Carmelo to 6 points then look for a shot more often. At least against the Nuggets.

I would too if it didnt come with a side of bonehead and a glass of turnovers.

How many traveling calls has he gotten this season?

Amare is a better overall player than Howard. I was arguing with your point that KG can match Amare on offense. He can't. He is a better overall player though. I was exaggerating when I said Amare is the best player, but he's on such a roll right now that, saying that doesn't sound too absurd.

Melo was hitting open shots, he was getting to the rim very easily. He missed a layup in crucial time which would of put the scores even or within a basket. That layup was money 99% of the time to anyone.

He wasnt shut down... The Nuggets did go to Iverson more and he scored at will.

Suns won because they nailed 4 straight shots to open the 4th and three of them were 3pts.. I think.

The Nuggets are also known as the team who lets everyone back to the game, they are probably ahead of the Suns in that department, which is remarkable.

Also, Nash took over.... last time He was outplayed by Anthony Carter....
Last night he torched him and then some.

Tonight, I expect the Nuggets to come back firing, hopefully Nash has more cans of whoop-asz to open, as he definitely needs to take over the scoring when the Suns are stagnating...

and oh.. props to Stoudemire for being able to carry the other half of the scoring.
He still let K-Mart and Melon grab too many rebounds... which would of been prevented by just putting a body on them... still the biggest knock on him... doesnt know how to stop offensive players apart from weak side block shots.

But still 41/14 is HUGE... could of been 41/20 if he boxed out.

Bell is still the streakiest shooter... when he is having a bad night (more often these days) Suns struggle... but when he is hitting shots... along with barbosa.. Suns will beat any team... but do you really want to rely on Bell and Barbosa hitting 3s and long 2s to win?.... need a better foundation inside... more Amare and Nash shots I think.

We have had some amazing games this season already.

This was definitely one of them.

Did anyone else cringe when you saw Diaw on Melo? Ironically, Melo got so excited he walked. hahaha..

By all accounts, Diaw did a very good job defensively on Melo. I think Melo only had 6 pts in the 2nd half.

Really? That's what I like about him - always finds time to smile and have fun during the game. I mean, he's got the talent to go with it. Some of those other guys take themselves waaaay too seriously.

Argh....his ole defense drives me nuts! KMart was having a career night against him. Most of the time he just stepped aside when they came driving at him.

I think Diaw will start tonights game because of it. I don't like him at SF, but going to have to deal with it if you want to keep Melo in check.

Melo shut himself down. You could taste his apathy through the TV screen in the second half.

You can't actually believe that, can you? Well, maybe you can, since some guys can do no right for people on this board.

Give credit where credit is due.
