It's really ridiculous how many offensive fouls the Suns commit.

Amare, Casey, Jahidi, Jake Voshkul they are all guilty of it way too often.

The Suns are gonna have a lot of ping pong balls in the hopper.

I sure hope a great young player emerges for the Suns to take with their high pick.

Denver's defense really had it for Joe. He was frustrated with the refs.

At least Amare dominated Denver. If D'Antoni could just make defensive improvements.

Almost every team shoots like we are in the early 90s against us. When they have 4X% shooting nights it is like a bad day for them against us.

It’s bad enough the Nuggets have destroyed the Suns, the NBALP lady announcer called Barbosa, Milt Palacio. Where do they get these people? I think Palacio had the # 10 but give me a break – He hasn’t been here for a long time.

Zarko was a bright spot for the Suns but the Nuggets have the Suns number this year.

:raccoon:

Rarely do they manage to set up a soild screen and the guy is often caught moving. Jacobsen get a midrange game already.

Well Amare had 28 points in 28 minutes. The Nuggets had no answer for him. The best part, he was trying hard all night long. He went for loose balls, and even lead some breaks.

Zarko had a good game, nice to see him bounce back from the last one.

I think Amare and Leandro might play well together. Although Barbosa isn't very good at feeding the post yet, he tried almost every time he got the ball in the second half. Amare, Zarko and Barbosa looked like they had been playing together for quite some time.

If the foul trouble hadn't been so bad the first half, there might have been a game. Oh well, I enjoyed it none the less.

I can actually probably name 30 players that would be a significant upgrade over JJ.

He flat sucks.

I hate why everyone has to get out he old phrases "JJ sucks" etc when he has a bad game.

Get Okafor in the draft. A backup SG or PG in case we don't get Kobe and add some role players.

Look into trading Marion,White, Eisley and Jacobsen.

They need to improve their defense.

Some observations after being at the game:

1. D'Antoni. Treated this game like preseason. Left JJ in when it was obvious he was not in the game mentally. Left Amare in at the end when the game was way, way out of reach. Ran an ineffective zone almost the entire first half. Stuck with Leandro at pg (no other choice I guess). This is just fine though. We might as well run the rest of the season as preseason. We'll get more ping pong balls, and we'll see where players really are.

2. Leandro. He's not a pg. He can dribble, he can drive, he can score. He cannot distribute. His passing is, well, atrocious. I suppose he can learn, but that's usually something a player is just good at. If he's going to play the sg position, then he needs to change that shot now. It goes in, but its going to get blocked way too often. He's got to bite the bullet and work on his form.

3. JJ. Needless to say, I was not impressed. He did not play well in any aspect of the game. He gets his head down and is worthless on the court. Its sad, he has the talent to be very good, but he does not have the mentality.

4. Shawn. I loved Marion's game tonight. He did an excellent defensive job on Carmelo. He was agressive inside. He can't pass the ball for his life. He forced the ball or threw uncatchable passes often. Its a real flaw.

5. Harvey. I love his energy and leadership (yes, leadership). We need to keep him. Toward the end of the game, he rebounded the ball, looked at JJ and took the ball down the court and passed to Amare, who dunked. The look at JJ had, "if I pass it to you, you'll never get it to the man" written all over it. He's going to be fairly cheap and he is the ideal role player for this team in the future.

6. Zarko. Wow. This guy is a keeper. Head in the game at all times. Moves well. Moves smart. Shoots well. Is a mismatch. Works on D. He was the second best player on the floor tonight.

7. Amare. Played a little more than one half. Scored lots of points in garbage time. Amare seems almost to score at will down low--and he gets calls. The thing that I noticed about him tonight I hadn't noticed before was his ability to catch the ball. There were times I was convinced the pass was a turnover, not only did he catch it, he scored almost in the same motion. He needs to be more of a team player though. He really should have passed to Shawn on that breakaway when Shawn was wide open under the basket.

8. Eisley, Dice. So far, its good bye. I see nothing worth keeping. Maybe Dice will show something yet in the future.

9. This team needs two starting caliber players--at pg and shooting guard. As much as I want to believe Barbosa can do it, he has a long way to go. JJ was putrid tonight.

THANK YOU.

I also was extremely impressed with Cabarkapa.

Dice played 5 minutes tonight. How can you even begin to make an accurate observation about him?

He certainly wasn't very effective in the 5 minutes he was on the court. I am assuming he is still dealing with pain from the injury. So, I'll keep my mind open, but the onus is on him to prove himself useful.

How effective was JJ in all his minutes?

Effectiveness had nothing to do with Dice's number of minutes.

Uh, I don't quite follow that comment.

Dice fumbled a pass or two away and sat on the bench. I am assuming he's still hurting. If he's hurting, he's not playing. If he's not playing, he's not effective. If he's not effective (and playing), why keep him.

I am hoping this will change. I'd kinda like to keep him.

Nobody said he was going to be kept. You made a generalization about him that IMO had no basis. JJ WAS playing, but wasn't effective. How do you know that Dice would have been ineffective if he played the same amount of minutes as JJ?

I'm not trying to attack you, JC, hope you don't think that, I just think you're turning this around to try to prove that you're right and I'm wrong. Sure, he didn't play well in the 5 minutes he was in, but JJ didn't play well for the 38 minutes he was in the lineup.

The question is, why? Why is it ok for JJ to play like crap for almost an entire game, but not ok for Dice to come in, make a few mistakes (like everyone makes), and then be benched? It doesn't make any sense.

A couple of this kind of games from Marion, can we then have a realistic chance to trade him to Blazers for Rasheed?:D

Actually, the lob pass Barbosa to Marion for a dunk the other night was a sign that Barbosa should be a good passer. For the long run benefit, they probably should force him to change the shot mechanics. There is hope that Vujanic would make the perfect backcourt partner to Kobe next season.

I don't feel attacked. I was just trying to explain my comment. I wasn't really trying to prove you wrong because I didn't really understand the point of what you said.

I was not comparing JJ to Dice. I made more comments in that post about JJ than about Dice, and I kind of lumped Eisley and Dice together as an aside. Neither showed much. JJ showed alot, and it was bad.

Whew! As long as we agree that Eisley is ineffective... :D ;)
