I think the positive for the Suns part in this deal was to save money and gain flexibility plus maybe improve chemistry.

I wonder if they will try to give them a look or just waive them both. Not sure what the rules are in each case.

I think Cody Martin could help the Suns defensively if healthy. There was a rumor Micic might be interested in returning to Europe.

Both players could be off the books next season.

No doubt... and the common thread between how both situations were mishandled is curious.

What is especially troubling, saving money aside, the Suns could have used a player like Nurkic this season.

It's hard to understand why the issues with Crowder and Nurkic couldn't be resolved short of a trade.

They gave up a pick and got two useless players.

At least Nurkic is an elite rebounder. He could be a positive contributor off the bench in certain matchups.

They also got a second round pick back.

I never said Nurk wasn’t a positive contributor but if he is not being played then it doesn’t matter.

He wasn’t going to contribute to the team.. it was a good move to ship him off.. would I have prefer to keep him and play him.. sure but I am not the coach.

Maybe JJ had some directive not to communicate anything to Nurk, possibly like the Crowder situation.
