not jut evey league club but every football team in country - and i mean every team - 1000's they all go into prelim rounds then about 30 or so nonleague teams are left and enter into first round proper with teams from English div's 2 and 3.

Then the 44 teams who are left enter into 3rd round where the prem lge and div one enter

Sunderland played 3rd round Hartlepool at home won 1-0
4th Ipswich away and won 2-1
5 th Birmingham H drew 1-1
5th replay v Birmingham away and won 2-0 after extra time
qtr final beat sheff utd 1-0 at home
semi to be played at Old Trafford Mancheaster v Milwall

so we only actualy played one prem team onte way so quite lucky really

its been about 10 years since a div one team made the final ( sunderland in 1992 LOL)

Millwall are filth !!

the winner of this game gets into UEFA cup (both Man utd and Arsenal will be in champions league) so i imagine that the police forces of Europe will be hoping for a Sunderland win also

Section 11, if you don't start making your images smaller and quit screwing up my bandwidth allotment, I'm going to ban you to the hockey board for a week. That's where the brain-damaged hang out. :gun:

I'd make a lot of friends over there I'm sure. I have so much respect for that steaming pile of mis-management.

hey Stout its great to see a cup comp with the Mags already knocked out !

Lol What cup DOESN'T have the Mags knocked out? We're still hanging in the UEFA, and will advance to the next round (one 4-1 in the first leg), but we had a harsh Premiership loss this last weekend. We're playing 4th place Charlton this weekend. We have to take them down if we want the Champ's league spot.

From Glasgow. Just followed the wombles when they got put into the 4th Division. Went to wembley in '88 when they beat the mighty 'pool (thus wembley88....) and won the FA Cup

Dreams can come true, goodluck this year.

We may regret not scoring 2 or 3 at Parkhead after you naughty boys misbehaved and ended up with 9 men (should have been 8 if ref hadn't bottled it with Rizeger).

Not confident about next thursday but Celtic made the final last year and always ground out good away performances so here's hoping.

It had to have been tough playing that match so soon after the Madrid bombings. I think Barca let their emotions get the better of them. It will be hard to replace Saviola, but I think they will rise to the occasion.

I wish I could get the game here.
