O/T Game in DC

Anybody going? Are there any regulars from the area that will have a tailgate going? My son and I are flying into Baltimore on Saturday about noon. We are going to head over to the ESPN zone for a bite to eat then off to our hotel. We are staying the night in Glen Burnie.

Anybody know anything about parking at the stadium? I was looking at the game day parking area and taking the bus to the stadium. Don't know if thats a good idea or not. Also looked a ebay for parking pass but they want 60 to 100 $ just to park.

Last time the Cards were in DC (Jan. 2002, I believe), most all of the cash parking was across the Beltway at the USAir Arena (the old Cap Centre). They offer shuttles to the stadium from there, but it's only about a 15 min. walk (if it's a nice day and you want to get some exercise).

There was also a huge grass lot near a church on the SE side of the stadium (on the stadium side of the Beltway) that offered cash parking and is a much closer hike to the stadium. I'll see if I can try and dig up some more info to give you a better idea where that one is.

I'll be heading down and will either park in this grass lot (if it's still there) or the Cap Centre lot. I'll be flying my Cardinal flag high above the car so if you see it, stop by and say "hey!"

My dad's buddy got tickets, and my dad has a layover that day. If his friend ends up having an extra, I'll be flying in. But my dad's a diehard Skins fan, so he might not want to bring a rival fan into his own stadium. I'd love to get a chance to cheer them on all the way out there.

Ah Yes, it should be a good time. Cardsfans Assseeemmmmbbbllleeee. We will be in either Lot Green or Orange. I will put it up when I know for sure. This will be lots better than last time when my Dad and his wimpy heart tried and rain on the parade. I firmly on needing help to walk into the stadium this time.

How hard is it to not bathe for a few days, put on grungy clothes, make a cardboard sign that says "Homeless" and stand by the freeway for a couple of hours?

No excuses man. I haven't worked in almost a full year, there is no one on this site poorer than me and I found a way to make it happen. Drive to my father's house and you guys can come down together. I will have planty of beer and burgers for evberyone. I am sure we can find you a ticket for less than $100.

I guarantee that if you wait and buy your ticket between 12:30-1:00 as you walk up to the stadium, you will not pay more than $20 for a ticket. You'll see dozens of people just holding up extras and you can take your pick of the litter. I've never paid more than $25 for a ticket to a Cards-Skins game in DC and that $25 put me in a heated luxury box in Jan. 2002.

I also just went and looked on ebay and if you can find another guy to throw in with you there are two club level tix for a buy-it-now price of $150. You could also buy both and sell one at the game for 100.

Its gonna be a hell of a time. Someone earlier said that if you wait until game time you can get in for 20 bucks and they are 100% right. I dont even plan on walking in until gametime, so come party.

I got hooked up with some tickets. I'm going to go to a tailgate that some guys I know from work are throwing for wounded marines. they got them tickets to the game too. so I'm really psyched to go and meet those guys. I don't know what lot that is, but if its near the purple one I'll swing by your space too.

Don't stay in Glen Burnie. For the love of God... do not stay in Glen Burnie. It is pretty trashy... look for a hotel in Bethesda or Rockville or a place like that. Only like 30 min or so outside of the stadium.... but yea Glen Burnie is no good.

I live here in Md and my dad is in Pa. I am not really familiar with the parking situation in Washington, but I have done the bus a few times and it has worked out good. If we win that wont be a fun bus ride back to your car though.
