I am with you. While this is a situation where the team has a window, there is no use smashing said window into pieces for something that may or may not put the team over the top.

With the rising cap, this is what you will be seeing in the future. To live in the past and say that you won't spend market value would be stupid.

$90M for a guy who has averaged 4.67 sacks and 32.3 tackles a year the last 3 years. Me thinks Jackson is a product of playing along side Ware and Miller. Somehow those just don't seem like pro bowl numbers.

Marvin Jones is getting $8mill/year. Amazing. I doubt he could even impact the Cards roster. At best he'd be #4 behind Fitz, Floyd, Brown, and maybe even behind Nelson after another off season of him getting bigger and knowing the system better.

True. But let's keep in mind that these are in effect "two-year contracts, and then we'll see".

Reported Jags paying over $6 million per year for Chris Ivory... It reminds you of how these teams are terrible every year. They have holes all over their Oline, secondary and at LB and they are paying that much for a back up RB that I doubt anyone else would've paid more than $3 million for. It makes me angry because I was starting to like what they were doing and rooting for them, but good night!

On a different note, Giants not expected to sign Robert Ayers. I really haven't watched him play. Is he a guy that could be a solid addition or not a fit?

I'm not sure about that. The upgrade from Sendlein to Mack would be much greater than from Okafor/Freeney to Vernon, who is about the best pass rusher left.

Veldheer, Iupati, Mack gives 3 pro bowl caliber linemen. Granted, the right side, assuming Humphries and Cooper are the guys, has a lot to prove but they are both talented 1st rounders. However, they yet to show it in the NFL.
