He has issues, but geez.... It's the 6th and 7th round already. The dude could be good.

Strengths: Is tall with adequate bulk (more so in upper body), very long arms (34) and huge hands (10.4). Is quick, aggressive and can make plays in the backfield. Moves well laterally. Takes adequate pursuit angles and has sideline-to-sideline range. Plays with a good motor and always seems to be around the ball at the end of the play. Plays under control in space, wraps up upon contact and is a reliable open field tackler that can deliver the big hit. Changes directions well and has experience lining up over slot receivers. Gets adequate depth, shows good awareness and covers a lot of ground when asked to drop into zone coverage. Has flashes great ball skills (INT with 4:58 remaining in 2nd quarter vs. Wake Forest in 2007) and the ability to make plays in coverage. Plays with a mean streak and times hits well when receivers try to cross his face. Takes the shortest path to the quarterback and shows good closing speed when asked to blitz. Has long arms and gets hands up in passing windows.

Weaknesses: Has adequate bulk but not necessarily well-proportioned. He is somewhat lean in his lower body and has a narrow base. Plays too high, hasn't shown great lower body strength and can get driven back. Does a poor job of protecting his lower body and gets taken out of too many plays by cut blocks. Avoids blockers rather than stacking them up and gets caught out of position at times. Recognition skills are inconsistent. Doesn't explode out of cuts, lacks ideal top-end speed and is more effective dropping into zone coverage than is matching up in man coverage. Hasn't developed pass rush moves, doesn't run through blockers in the backfield and needs to win with first step to be effective rushing the passer. Missed the entire 2005 season after tearing the anterior the cruciate ligament in his left knee during fall camp and durability is a concern.

Overall: Maryland red-shirted Henderson during his true freshman season in 2004 and he missed the entire 2005 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during fall camp. Henderson started 12 of the 13 games he appeared in during the 2006 season finishing with 114 total tackles including 54 unassisted tackles and 6.5 tackles-for-loss. He also recorded two interceptions, three forced fumbles, one sack and two pass breakups. Henderson started all 12 games of the 2007 season finishing with 133 total tackles including 59 unassisted tackles and 11 tackles-for-loss. He also recorded one interception, one sack, one forced fumble, four fumble recoveries and two pass breakups. Henderson is a high-cut yet fluid athlete. While his top-end speed is only adequate, Henderson covers a lot of ground both as a run defender and in coverage. However, he plays with a narrow base and isn't very stout at the point of attack. His recognition skills are still developing and he needs to do a much better job with his hands. In all reality, Henderson is a bit of an overrated prospect that lacks the ideal speed of a WLB and the ideal base of a MLB. His knee injuries only add to the growing list of concerns, which is why we think Henderson is an awfully big gamble as a Day 1 draft pick.

If we still want a home run threat at RB this seems to be the last possibility:

Danny Woodhead
Height: 5-71/2 | Weight: 197 | 40-Time: 4.38

Strengths:
Extraordinarily productive...Excellent timed speed...Elusive with nice vision...Runs harder than you would think...Terrific balance...Has soft hands...Hard worker and leader with good intangibles...Very smart...Has some experience as a return man.

Weaknesses:
Didn't play against top competition...Doesn't have either the size or bulk that you look for...Not very strong or physical...Won't offer much as an inside runner...Has issues with ball security...Durability is a concern...Sub par blocker...Limited upside.

Notes:
Owns the N.C.A.A. single season rushing and all-time rushing records...A two-time recipient of the Harlon Hill Trophy as the Division II Player of the Year...Nebraska's Gatorade Player of the Year coming out of high school but the Huskers didn't want him...Was the first Chadron St. football player to receive a full scholarship...He has been prolific at every level so far but the NFL is a different animal....A phenomenal college player with a lot of hype but just does not project well as a prospect...Will have to try and make it as a 3rd down back / situational guy and return specialist.

Strengths: Has excellent size and engulfs defenders at the point of attack. Flashes a powerful punch and gets adequate hand placement. Keeps head up and does a nice job of sliding off combo blocks in time to pick up linebackers. Shows adequate lateral mobility as a run blocker and can seal the edge. Takes adequate angles to downfield blocks and can get into position at the second level. Locks out arms once in position and forces pass rushers to take a wider angle to the quarterback. Though doesn't sink hips enough is stout and rarely gives ground to bull rushers. Big enough to hold own at guard, has experience lining up there in goal line situations and is somewhat versatile.

Weaknesses: Lacks elite initial quickness and is going to have some problems keeping explosive one-gap defenders out of the backfield. Lunges too much and loses balance at times. Takes too long to redirect in pass protection and is vulnerable to double moves. Lacks ideal awareness, over commits at times and has problems adjusting to line stunts and blitzes. Played at a small school and there is some concern about ability to adjust to the speed of the game at the NFL level. Lacks ideal starting experience and is still somewhat raw. While durability isn't a significant concern, missed four games with a bone bruise in right knee in 2006. Quit Oklahoma team during 2005 preseason, briefly returned to the team before quitting again and character is a concern.

Overall: Keith signed with Oklahoma in 2003 but quit before the season. In 2004, he attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and was named a second team NJCAA All-American. He rejoined the Sooners in 2005, but quit the team again after failing to appear in a game that season. He transferred to Northern Iowa in 2006 and played seven games (two starts). He missed four games that season because of a bone bruise in his right knee. As a senior with the Panthers, Keith started 11of 13 games at right tackle. Keith has the size, upper body strength and athletic ability to become an effective starting NFL right tackle or possibly guard. He is a late-rising prospect that coaches will fall in love with because he has the tools to mold. However, he is still very raw, particularly with his footwork in pass protection. Keith comes with his fair share of baggage, as well. His brief stay in Oklahoma in 2005 still raises concerns about his work ethic and he has had some trouble staying healthy. When it's all said dn dome, Keith should come off the board in the fourth to fifth round range.

Not a bad pick IMO..... The Oklahoma pedigree seems good to me. I guess him quitting the team twice is an issue, but with a 4th or 5th round grade I guess we should be happy to have him.

Games are won on the line of scrimmage and it looks like the Cards have finally realized that.

I'm hoping Ezra Butler doesn't get drafted. He's worth bringing in as an UDFA.

Talent does not appear to be an issue with him.
