I haven't been outside, but it doesn't look like it rained hard.
BUT, Goodyear is about as close as I am & if he got pounded, then it's entirely possible the stadium did, too.
Definition of funny: I just got a severe weather alert from NWS.
Apparently it's going to be really hot. In Phoenix. In August.
I'd batten down the hatches if I had any.
Thats for weather. In Phoenix you just down the kiltlifters
Someone somewhere is going to hate me for this but what you need to do is file a dust control complaint. Somewhere on the construction site is going to be a big sign that says who to call for dust control problems. If they are not watering down there dirt piles the can be fined. BIG fines.BTW the reason it is irritating is because I have a new pool in a place that is building a mall across the street as well as a huge housing development. This means that the storms blow a load of trash and dirt in the pool.
I get so much sand that the automatic pool cleaning system that cost some 4 grand can't get it all.
Weatherunderground has two or three VIL 25+ storms coming towards N Scottsdale from the Rim -- and they look quite dark out my window. The 3" rain a few weeks ago was when three storms with VIL over 32 each simultaneously converged. This might be an interesting evening. Of course, I just hung out the laundry.
Where do you get your VIL data? I've always wanted it but thought it was something exclusive to NWS computers.

I don't hate you, but know this. When I lived in AZ (every year from '74 until last April), I worked with homebuilders, and the stories they could tell. One of my best (former clients) told me about getting a massive (six figures IIRC) fine for dust control literally as a haboob was rolling through.
That cost is passed on right to the consumer. I don't remember the exact number he quoted me, but it was something like $2,500-$5,000 of every new house was just the cost of dust control.
Keeping dust down as you're working a site is one thing. Not having water trucks working around the clock in case of a dust storm is another.
