Wow, there was a flash flood warning up here, and this wash by the house is running like a river!

The skies to the North and East are absolutely BLACK right now... Radar showing some pretty decent action coming down off the rim and moving to the southwest. Hope is all make it down here!

I'm hoping it makes it into the city but lately they've broken up or veered off.

I'll keep my fingers crossed but I won't hold my breath. :D

Yeah, I have the radar on for the state and man, there is just a massive line of storms from north of Phoenix all the way to Tucson...

It so dark out right now, I just can't imagine we won't get something out of this...
The radar is suggesting that the Sun City are might get the worst of it (if things hold together...).

The radar does look promising,
There's some kind of warning box close to Tempe

All that rain dumped in Overgaard last night. I know. I was there. Wasn't certain if I'd be able to drive out of the mud today.

Had an amazing weather experience today...

Still in Sedona...I thought the storm had missed us, but this big cloud developed right on top of us. I sat waiting for 25 minutes while it got darker, hoping the rain would come soon.

I look to the east and I see some rain over the mountain there, which is about a half mile away. The mountain is really one of those wonderful big rock hills you see in Sedona...red, etc.

So the rain is falling, I see it coming from the cloud...and it sprinkles a bit. But I see east that it's pretty thick so I know it's coming.

Then suddenly I hear noise and realize the mountain to the east of me was getting wet. Then more of it. Suddenly you could just see the wall of rain come over the mountain, and start hitting our side of it in a huge moving line. The tops of houses suddenly were splashing with water. The drops were so big, you could see them a 1/4 mile away falling. And the sound of it coming got louder.

Then it just hit and nailed us.

Anyways, seeing the rain come like that was amazing.

Then I waited for the rain to die and looked out at the wash that was flowing after yesterday's rains, and waited.

In about 5 minutes, the flow of water (mini flash flood almost) just appeared coming down the creek.

Simply awesome.

We had a huge storm around 4:30PM yesterday. Heavy downpour and gusty winds uprooted several trees. Today has been sunny and hot.

Just drove through a torrential downpour. I could hardly see ten feet ahead of me. The streets were already flooded after about 5-10 minutes of rain. Looks like the moisture of the hurricane is reaching Tucson.

They were saying on the news tonight that after this bit of weather chances are good the monsoon season will be over.
