It doesn't seem possible, but the two closest rain gauges to us recorded between .60-.75 inches of rain. It sure seemed like more than that.

Highest total so far for last night/this morning 1.57 inches of rain at Fitch Park near University and Center in Mesa.

It went on and off for several hours, at times very heavy and winds really gusty -- an informal old rain gauge I still use had it at 1" exactly this morning.

1.19 inches here between Scottsdale and Pima Roads, just north of Pinnacle Peak Rd. !!!!!

It's clouded up. Thunder for the last 30 mins. Little bit of lightning. Now beginning to sprinkle.

Lots of rain with lightning/thunder at Dynamite and Scottsdale Rd for the last 30 min. Guesstimate maybe half an inch already. Temporary lull right now, but looks like another round of storms is to the southeast and may head this way a little later.

Comin right towards my house. Can hear the crack bang of the thunder. Very loud.

The storm coming from the north broke up before it hit the heart of the vortex.
I have hope I will get something from the east or the south before it's all said and done.

That was amazing. It poured so hard I go soaked and it was for a good 30 mins too. My apartments drive way is a river.

Best part was seeing it coming from the East. With the setting sun already in the Western sky, it was pouring rain in broad daylight.
