Closest 45-7 game I have seen in a really long time!!

I just think under different circumstances it would have been a lot closer..watch ASU and USC down the stretch.. I doubt they dominate the opponents we beat this year....

there is simply no comparison between these two teams SunCard. Great - there may have been a questionable call - hell maybe even two - that doesn't mean you completely fold up the tent and get your ass handed to you by 35 points before the half.

There is simply no comparison between these two teams - and I thought ASU was gonna win today.

Making excuses in a 45-7 game doesn't holdmuch water. It's like Tango saying the Cards didn't play so poorly in their 38-0 loss against Seattle last year.

Come on, man. ASU just got rolled on. Those calls would've made very little difference. The worst part of this game was USC was more intense. I thought ASU would be sky high, but I thought it was obvious USC wanted it more and was better prepared. And, with ASU coming off a bye, there's really no excuse for that.

This sort of loss is going to be tough for ASU to shake off. I am afraid it might be like the Cards a couple of years ago when they went to San Francisco for that big game and got clobbered. Then, the wheels came off. I think UCLA is a very dangerous team for ASU to play next week.

- What makes USC so good is not their talent (which is unbelievable), it's their poise and ability to limit mistakes. ASU was able to capitalize on USC's only mistake, however by that point the game was basically over.

- I know how much ASU fans, like other Pac10 school fans love to bash Matt Leinart, but the guy is legit. He makes good reads, looks off DBs, and manages the game very efficiently. He doesn't have the arm of Walter or the athleticism of Rodgers, but the guy is a winner and a leader, the collegiate version of Tom Brady.

- Thankfully I only heard a few minutes of Keith Jackson senile ramblings because I was listening to the UA game on the radio. The guy needs to hang 'em up. On another note, Kris Heavner was finally benched about one year too late. Thank God.

- Going back to the talent thing, how deep is USC? Herschel Dennis could be a solid feature back on 90% of Div. I teams and he is languishing on the bench.

- Zach Miller if he stays healthy is going to be very, very good. What sucks is schools like ASU and UA hopefully get one of these program-changing players every year or two. Schools like USC get a handful of them annually.

- Koetter's first big test this season will be regrouping this team after a heartbreaking loss. UCLA is playing well and then they have Cal on the road, they need to get over this game quickly.

Good analysis. I was greatly disappointed with the lack of physical play by the ASU D. USC walked all over us.

The sad thing is, USC is as young as ASU. Leinert looked like a stud.

This game sucked from the get go. The early pass interference sucked. Terrible call. But, it wouldn't have mattered on this day. USC was fired up.

I just think momentum is a funny thing...and there was more than one call, more around four calls in two series and one more and another that were all questionable. You guys are saying we aren't even close to being in the same league...although I think USC is better than us, we play a lot of the same competition and I bet USC will not do that much better than what we would do against them...So I say this game was not a great indicator of our talent vs USC's

IMO, the talent differential was not the main problem. USC was more intense and better prepared for the game, that's why we were routed. That's on the ASU coaches. I think they have an even tougher job this week. Getting them to shake this loss off and gear up for UCLA will not be easy. And UCLA is a dnagerous team.
