- What makes USC so good is not their talent (which is unbelievable), it's their poise and ability to limit mistakes. ASU was able to capitalize on USC's only mistake, however by that point the game was basically over.
- I know how much ASU fans, like other Pac10 school fans love to bash Matt Leinart, but the guy is legit. He makes good reads, looks off DBs, and manages the game very efficiently. He doesn't have the arm of Walter or the athleticism of Rodgers, but the guy is a winner and a leader, the collegiate version of Tom Brady.
- Thankfully I only heard a few minutes of Keith Jackson senile ramblings because I was listening to the UA game on the radio. The guy needs to hang 'em up. On another note, Kris Heavner was finally benched about one year too late. Thank God.
- Going back to the talent thing, how deep is USC? Herschel Dennis could be a solid feature back on 90% of Div. I teams and he is languishing on the bench.
- Zach Miller if he stays healthy is going to be very, very good. What sucks is schools like ASU and UA hopefully get one of these program-changing players every year or two. Schools like USC get a handful of them annually.
- Koetter's first big test this season will be regrouping this team after a heartbreaking loss. UCLA is playing well and then they have Cal on the road, they need to get over this game quickly.
