Flutie for 42 yrds pass...
That 42 yard gain was brutal -

We had pinned SD back on their own 10 (helped out by 2 false start penalties) and had them 3rd and 15.

If there ever was a time for Larry Marmie to "bring it", it was when we had them backed up deep in their own territory.

Instead the Cards went back into their prevent (winning) zone shell, and Flutie had all the time in the world to locate an open receiver (Tim Dwight) for 42.

What worries me is, despite all the one-gap rhetoric we're hearing, Marmie will revert back to what he feels most comfortable doing - namely to "turtle up" when we have 'em 3rd and long.

I see Boston had 1 catch for 14 yarsd. Does that mean one of our DB's tackled him? C'mon D-Bo, pay up.

Boston is ridiculously big. Looks like he should be playing Defensive End rather than being a reciever. What a head case.

Holy crap!! I thought he was so much bigger than everyone else it was ridiculous. How much did he say he would pay any DB that tackled him?

That tackle was made by Starks. Yes, even a gutless cancer like Starks took him down. Maybe Starks just did it for the money.

Well not to sound like a whiner, but the refs missed a blatant hold by Van Buren on Calvin Pace. He literally tackled Pace, and even Dave Pasch mentioned it (rather disgustedly).

I agree. it looked more like a wrestinling take-down than a hold...very obvious!
