Jennings is expected to participate in a Suns pre-draft workout today at US Airways Center, where it already had been announced that two other candidates for the Suns' pick at No. 14 in Thursday's NBA draft - Louisville forward Earl Clark and Gonzaga forward Austin Daye (on his second trip) - would participate. The workout also includes Swedish forward Jonas Jerebko and a pair of second-round prospects, guards Nick Calathes of Florida and Jack McClinton of Miami.

Despite playing on a bad team with few other scoring options, McClinton was the most efficient shooting guard in our database at 1.08 PPP.

he has most of the raw tools required to be an excellent threat to score off the bench.
Even though he took a lot of threes, McClinton still scored on a higher percentage of his logged possessions than any other two at 47%.
45.3% 3PT%
it isn’t inconceivable that he develops into an Eddie House type player down the road.
Future potential lineup

Dragic/Barbosa/Jack McClinton
Barbosa/Jack McClinton/Tucker
Dudley/Earl Clark/SF
Amare/Amundson/Earl Clark
Lopez/Amundson/C

I am completely sold on Jack McClinton with our second round pick. He has an amazing shot and great range. You can also tell he possesses a higher mental feel for the game as well. His paint work/finishing isnt there yet, but he knows how to break the defense apart and is very savvy with his handles and slashing to the basket. Exactly what I want from a combo guard.

Draftexpress compares him to eddie house, and I completely agree. Prob a bit quicker and more athletic too.

He would be a great contribution to our future backcourt imo.

I would be shocked if Gibson was still there.

I would take whoever of the following is still on the board:
Taj Gibson
Jonas Jerebko
Jeff Adrian
Jeff Pendergraph
Nick Calathes (will be gone for sure)
Patrick Mills
Leo Lyons
Dante Cunningham
Danny Green
DeMarre Carroll
Paul Harris (I really like this kid)
Vyacheslav Kravtsov
Darren Collison
Victor Claver
Jon Brockman

I agree. I saw him play a few times and he is very talented, and also very scrappy, one game he got ejected and another game he got into it with some other players.

Regardless he is a good shooter and good athlete.

I like Dionte Christmas from Temple in the second round. Can shoot lights out, good passer and defend three positions with efficiency.

Worth the risk in the 2nd round

Make room on the wagon for me. Get us McClinton!

Sounds exactly what we need. Shooting and defence. Get either one of these guys or that Gibson dude.

McClinton is much more inclined to drive than House was, and looked to finish pretty well with a nice variety of shots. That driving hook shot will get blocked a lot in the NBA, though.

In a van...down by the river.
Jack looks good on video and he looks like a nice prospect.
My concerns are where does he fit in at the NBA level and is his size a concern?
Here's a Q&A
Draft Express asking the questions here:
DX: Do you think you can make the transition to being a point guard in the NBA or do you see yourself exclusively as a shooting guard?
JM: I would label myself as a guard, not a point guard or a shooting guard, just a guard. If you look at the NBA there are six or seven great point guards like the CP3's and the D. Williams, you have a lot of great ones. There are also a lot of guys who can manage an offense without getting rattled; I think I can be one of those guys.
DX: One thing that scouts clearly will look at is size. You measured out just under 6-1 in shoes, is that a concern for you?
JM: No, really it isn’t a concern for me because a lot of times players are told you’re not tall enough to be here. I’ve been going through that my whole life. When I was transferring to Miami I had people telling me not to because they said I wouldn’t play. I just used stuff like that as motivation; it kept me working harder in the gym to prove all of those people wrong. I’m not going to stop doing that; I’m always going to have that chip on my shoulder to keep getting better.
DX: You said you consider yourself as a guard rather than a point or a shooting guard. Can you defend both of those positions in the NBA?
JM: I could; if I had to cover a 6-5 shooting guard I would have to work my butt off not to let them get the basketball and things like that. At the same time though, I think it all really depends on what system you’re in. If I was on the floor with a bigger point guard like a Deron Williams, he might be able to cover the two-guard and I would cover the point. If you look at Chris Paul and Jannero Pargo they play together and it works, so it all depends on what system you’re in.

Actaully i thought McClinton was taller. Only 5'11, not sold.

Whoever said Paul Harris... He is garbage. I watched every SU game and the guy hasn't gotten any better since his freshman year. He has 0 jump shot, 0 dribble ability, and 0 basketball IQ. He is a physical freak that should of played football.
