So, when they were winning titles with the same style of play . . . . ?

They are young and have had the worst of the injuries out of the top four teams for the last couple of years. They need a central defender and probably a top keeper, but next year is the last chance Wenger has to use the youth excuse. Vela needs to make the step up in attack too.

I really haven't seen much thuggery in the Prem. Maybe its because I watch lower league football and it is A LOT worse. I would prefer tough tackling defenders to ones that dive and fake injuries like Puyol (and I like Barca).

Are you saying Carlos Puyol is a diver? My goodness, that's ridiculous! Messi is more of a diver than Puyol and that's saying a lot!

Please did nobody see how easy Messi went down yesterday or even the mighty Puyol? Puyol played way better then i expected him too but the amount of time he spent on the turf would have embarrassed me...

Spoken like a bitter ManU fan. Ronaldo's elbows were flying like Kobe's. It's no wonder he knocked Puyol down multiple times. You say you do follow La Liga, and having watched every single Barca game this season, Messi and Puyol are not divers.

Messi went down like 3 times, and yes, if hit hard enough he can go down--he's a pretty small guy moving a light speed. It's not hard for him to be taken down, even with incidental contact.

Eh? I have become used to the creative players diving all over the place, but to see an apparently tough defender roll around after hardly being touched was a bit sad.

I would love for somebody to try and call me a bitter man u fan. Barca were better and I loved every second of it.

As for Rooney and Puyol. I think Rooney would win in a fight seeing as he is a giant green ogre.

Well what can I say? If you didn't see Ronaldo try to run him over several times, then that's your issue. ;)

Considering Puyol is not a diver, I'd say there is some bitterness in that. Are you a Prem fan over La Liga?

I'm going to go out on a limb and think the play he is referring to was when VDS got the ball and he ran into him and tried to suck as much time as possible by rolling on the ground like a baby and yes i do believe Rooney would kick his ass in a heart beat!

Ronaldo running at him? I saw one studs up tackle that deserved to be a foul but the shoulder to shoulders were love taps and maybe Puyol got caught by the wind?

having said that... Barca outplayed United fair and square and they are paying for there cockiness and poor tactics leading up to this match....

LOL

Barca was and is the better team. Period.

Ronaldo is a great, great player, 2nd best in the world IMO. However, he was frustrated all night by Puyol and tried to bully him. This is the current state of world football, Ronaldo goes down at a simple touch just as much as anyone else. Don't pretend he doesn't.

And you better believe that if United had the lead, you'd have guys (including your boy Rooney) flopping and laying on the ground as well. You know that.

If you didn't see Puyol go down at least twice when barely being touched then that's your issue! He was rolling around twice when replays showed there was nothing wrong. One time he even jumped up and went to attack again but decided against it and went down then.

I would have loved to have seen C.Ronaldo get sent off, would have made my day. I am a prem fan, but hate the scum and love Barca, so your argument is a little weak.
