Joe Burnett (looked bigger than I thought) - 4.49
Put up a respectable 22 bench reps. I really want this guy as our nickel. Did you see his backpedal drill? I tuned in just after he ran it.

I will agree that the amount of blue chip guys is down, but it does have some depth. A lot of the prospects are evenly graded.
I feel a little bad for Detroit, there's no one that really screams "1st overall pick" in this draft. Stafford could be good but he doesn't strike me as a Manning or Ryan type prospect. The #1 LT ranking keeps changing, there's a lot of solid pass rushers but not 1 guy who really jumps out. No shutdown corner.
6-4, 212 isn't big for a corner?
If I were them I would have them take Stafford because they defiently need a QB and there is signficant drop off after him and Sanchez while the LB postion has several nice prospects such as Rey Mauluga (who they could possibly get in with their 2nd 1st round pick) and a couple others. If I am them, I take Curry and I dont look back.
I think Shogun is talking about Sean Smith.
Shogun;1972670 Donald Washington - 4.50. Didn't look right running and surprising considering his absurd vertical and broad jump. Why did this kid not produce? [/quote said:all the weed he smoked probably affected his reaction time.
the track has to be slower this year. It may only be slightly slower but 1/10 of a second slower is enough to make the guys seem like they're not running good times. We'll have to see the following years times equate. It's hard for me to believe that this years class is that much slower than last years. Sure some guys still ran fast but nothing like last year. I would subtract about 7/100 to 1/10 off everyones time when comparing it to last year. Plus Maycok kept saying the scouts hand timed 40's were alot faster. Maybe the new electronic timer is a little more sesnitive at the starting gate . It's like Deion said, Washington's vertical and broad jump just doesn't equate to his 40 time. He kept saying something was wrong.
Anybody could look fast playing in the Big TenJenkins ran great in the other drills.. I could care less what his forty was, put on game film and he plays as fast as any CB in CFB
Fixed.Pro day will tell us absolutely nothing about their real speed.

What I would like to know is how did he far against teams like LSU,USC and Texas.
You list those guys as if that's an impressive list. Only three of those guys were/are really impressive in college - Manningham, Benn, and Thomas.Right cause you could never learn anything watching him face the likes of Mario Manningham, Steve Breaston, Jason Avant, Regis Benn, Devin Thomas, Deon Butler, Derrick Williams, etc...
Jenkins ran great in the other drills.. I could care less what his forty was, put on game film and he plays as fast as any CB in CFB

I'm not arguing for or against Jenkins in this little spat, but I'm just saying...
Morgan Trent, but he was completely unsuccessful in those efforts. My point is who do you want him to face? Give me a CB that has faced a bunch of guys who are gonna be stud NFL wideouts?
Going back a few years, i remember Chris Gamble had covered the likes of Andre Johnson, Braylon Edwards, Lee Evans, and other top shelf WR's. He shut them all down except for one play on Evans. But ran a slower combine time than was expected and slid down to late 1st.My point is who do you want him to face? Yup. Chris Gamble was a problem on both sides of the ball.Going back a few years, i remember Chris Gamble had covered the likes of Andre Johnson, Braylon Edwards, Lee Evans, and other top shelf WR's. Fixed.
He looked better than Sanchez throwing the ball. He's one guys I'd be very excited to have. Put him in special packages (wildcat, etc.), have Kurt teach him the intricacies of being an NFL QB, and when Warner retires and if Leinart falters, we'd have a backup plan. The biggest concern I've read about him is his size, which doesn't concern me when QBs like Drew Brees are putting up 5k yard seasons.Pat white and Brian Robiske were named outstanding athletes at the 2009 Scouting Combine.
I know we're probobly not going to pick White, but he falls at about 65 on the big boards. He's an intruiging prospect. He's gonna make some GM a genius.
