Cardinals To Train In Prescott
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Thursday, May 27, 2004
Tempe, AZ – The Arizona Cardinals today announced that the team will conduct a portion of its preseason workouts in Prescott, AZ in late August.
The first phase of training camp will be held at Northern Arizona University (N.A.U.) in Flagstaff until that school’s students return to the campus. In an effort to continue workouts in a cooler climate, the Cardinals will then arrive in Prescott on Sunday, August 22 and will hold workouts at Pioneer Field on Monday, August 23rd through Friday, August 27. The team will be headquartered in Prescott at the Quality Inn and Suites located on Highway 69.
“With the gap between the end of our training camp at N.A.U. and the start of the regular season, this is something that we feel is in the best interest of our team,” said Cardinals Vice President-Football Operations Rod Graves. “The City of Prescott, its Parks and Recreation Department, and the people at the Quality Inn and Suites have really gone out of their way to meet our needs and make sure that it will be a first-rate experience. We have no doubt that it will be.”
Specific information regarding practice times and other details will be announced at a later date.
