So much for going down hill...

Tonight was probably the best episode in 3 years. Easily one of the top 3 of the series. A LOT of plot points wrapping up, and leading into a season finale that should be pretty awesome.

Agreed a damn good episode. I'm just happy that this time they are going with a story and actually sticking to it (pretty much have to with the season and the series wrapping up).

Thats what pissed me off about last season they were going one way and then suddenly the writers seemed to change their minds. It just seemed like they were starting to get greedy by making the show last longer than it was originally supposed to (this season was originally supposed to be the last season of this show for the original deal with HBO but they screwed up last season so bad they had to add a "Bonus season").

I guess Gandolfini's contract dispute helped straighten that out.

*SPOILER*

I'm going to miss Adrianna walking around wearing practically nothing but hey at least we still have the Bada Bing.

Let the war begin!

Tonight ruled! Between Aidriana and John --------- HUGE.

You know, I'm a very (OK, pretty..........for the most part) law abiding citizen. But we're talking TV world. It was great to see the FBI's case case get blown away in the forests of NJ.

tonight's episode was one of the best hours of TV I have ever seen - anyone who says this show has gone downhill just don't know!

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last fifteen minutes - between Christopher choking Adrianna - his reveleation at the gas station -> the car ride with Silvio and the classic showdown calm before the storm scene between Tony and John - I was absolutely riveted.

I missed the first 20 minutes tonight. What happened during this time?

How in the heck were Tony and Carmella back together? Or, was this a dream/flashback?

Tonight's last 1/2 hour was chilling. Did anybody else think Adriana was going to jump out of the car and kill herself? Damn, Christopha is pretty loyal to the family.

Predictions for the finale? Is someone going to try and take a whack at Big Tony? I think Cousin Tony will run into trouble.

I thought the scene where Ade tells Christopher what she was doing was some of the best acting I've ever seen on that series. That scene alone should net Drea De Matteo an Emmy Nomination. Michael Imperioli was pretty damn good too.

The finale will be all about the beginning of the war and leading up into the next and final season, which will probably be all about the war. Man, I'll have 4 HBO shows to salivate for! (Sopranos, Deadwood, Carnivale, and the new Ancient Rome show)

Tony and Carm made a deal--Tony would move back in if he helps broker a land deal for Carmella. Very strange--and AJ even said that at dinner. :D

Ade had some kind of stomach/stress problem, but at least they gave her character a lot to do--and even had her mother in the episode. Fitting, I suppose.

Nope, never seen it. Weird.

My rankings of HBO shows:

1. Carnivale
2. Six Feet Under
3. Deadwood
4. Sopranos
5. Larry David's show (whatever it's called; brainfart)

But this isn't saying that I don't like the 5th ranked show; I like all of HBO's original shows, IMO they do the best job on television.

Curb Your Enthusiasm - funniest show on TV - Larry David is THE greatest cornholio anti-hero ever - I can throw the TV on mute and crack up just watching his mannerisms and how he deals with people.

Sopranos has completely sucked me back in again - I was a huge fan of the first and second seasons and then dropped off after that - but this season has been awesome with last night's episode one of the finest TV hours I've ever watched - I can't wait for the finale and next seasons abbreviated run - anyone know how many episodes next season's supposed to be?

This was a powerful episode .... so happy one minute because of Tony and Carm, tense due to the impending NY/NJ mob war, so so so sad with Adriana and Christopher... I can't believe Chrissy gave up Ade! I really thought he might go into witness protection with her. Was it just after he saw that family at the gas station that he decided, no forget that? The scene where she told him about the FBI was just incredible.

So, yeah...one family is healing and coming together, while the other family is imploding.

I'm with you on this one. Larry David is hilarious to watch. Wonder if he's even semi-remotely like that in real life. If he is, I want to meet him...

The story line last year about his wife letting him sleep with another woman was brilliant. The guy thought he was a ladies man...

I have watched this show religiously since the beginning. I literally have thought it was the best show on TV. This season however has been a huge dissapointment. It really has gone down hill overall.

Last weeks episode was the worst in the history of the series. They made up a lot with last nights episode I agree it was really good.

However why didnt they show the shooting of Adriana? They show it with everyone else why not her? It took away from the scene IMO.

Was far from the best episode ever though. To me its gottta be the one where Paulie and Chris get lost in the woods trying to kill the Russian.

Just my two cents. Hopefully the last episode is good enough to make up for this overall dissapointing season.

The season finale was okay.
I expected a lot more and was actually a little disappointed.
I'm certainly not holding my breath in anticipation of the series return.

I liked the final episode, it was fun to see Tony haul ass through the snow like that.

The season ended with Johnny Sacks' crew going down, so he is now the head of the family in power. Lot of loose ends to tie up next year, I forsee any people getting wacked including Tony and Christopher

A pretty good ending but not a great end to the season

***Possible Spoilers***

I am kinda disappointed that for the 2nd season in a row they teased a mob war about to start but never actually taking place. Thats what I thought next season was going to be about.

So instead of the mob families fighting next season, it looks like its going to be the Soprano mob family vs. the FBI. Not what I hoped for but I think it can still be good if done right

I will say that it was fairly unexpected. I expected the mob war to encompass season 6, now that doesn't look like a possibility at all.
