A chance to get it within 8.

Marion missed jumpshot
Stoudemire missed dunk
Stoudemire missed 2 free throws
Penny missed turnaround jumshot

Too bad but what an incredible quarter!

But I wonder why taking a time out in a 17-3 run!

just gotta hang around - maybe cut it to 8 going into the 4th - man that spurt at the end of the first half just killed us.

Big Jake could help with a slower David Robinson. they are dominating inside and they've figured out "Small ball" in this game. they have beaten us to rebounds. We need a big body in there because they own the paint right now.

I'm not sure what you base this on as big Jake hasn't played against SA at all this year, besides, Robinson is the center, Duncan is PF. Jake could get rebounds and clog up the middle which would allow the other guys to defend their own man. I have also seen big Jake move quite well from time to time. Last year Jake & Marbury had a good thing going at the end of the season - I guess that was all forgotten. Just face it - FJ loves small ball.

It appears as if the Suns game plan to play like crap for the first half and give SA a sense of security is working....Suns are coming back - bet that SA regroups.

I wasn't saying anything about Duncan. Was saying Big Jake could help out against their big men inside (being David Robinson) because they were killing us inside. Why not try him? Malik Rose has 18pts. Most inside. we have no defense inside. Big Jake can be a presence. I'm not saying he's the answer but he's an option that should be explored if he's healthy.

What is your problem with Marion? What a waste? He is only a top 3 SF in this league.

Shawn Marion will be the key to this team finally winning a championship - that is when we dangle him and a number 1 or him a number 1 and Big Jake and something else - we will get that final piece of the puzzle - I have nver seen Shawn play a dominating playoff game in his career. This year, we should have seen at least one of them by now.

This is his first real playoff series. Back in 2000 he was a 10ppg rookie.

He played well in game 1. He his going against a top defensive team. the best actually. No one on our team has shot well. Or played that well for that matter.

Good start to the 4th by the Suns.

Wrong - he started for us against Sacto in 2001 - had a good first game - then sucked and got lit up by Peja the rest of the series.

Oh yeah. My bad.

Still. I stand by him.

Damn Malik Rose has just been brutal inside! forget Duncan. Let's stop this guy.

Come on, if it surprises anybody that the softest player in the league plays badly when the pressure is really on, well.. I don't know, it shouldn't surprise you.

Marion scored 10 points in the first quarter and he didn't do a thing himself. He got an ally-oop dunk from Penny, a wide-open 3 point shot off of Marbury's drive (there wasn't a Spur within 5 feet of him), a fastbreak dunk off a good pass from Penny in a 3 on 1 situation. I don't know what else he did, but he surely did miss lost of shots.

dude. this guy has played out of position alot this series. He's playin well tonight. leading us with 18pts considering not many guys are doing much on the offensive end.
