Yeah, it seems all the guys who are in all the commercials are doing poopy.

Rooney, Ronaldo, Drogba, Messi (to an extent, hasn't been Barca messi)

Cept for Rafa Marquez, i bought some beer and he happened to be on the bottle :-D lol

Come on, Messi has been one of the top players in the tournament so far. He may not have any goals, but he's been dominant in both their games.

Yep. Messi set up at least two of the 4 goals vs. South Korea.

What a great result for the US in the England/Algeria game. I am sure there are even more calls for Capello's head after that one.

To think we STILL have a shot at being the #1 seed out of our group, that is just amazing.

The US has no choice but to 1) play for the win and 2) take Algeria seriously

Yes. If USA gives up a quick goal vs. Algeria, I will be very disappointed.

If they give up any goal against Algeria I will be disappointed. They have to play their best soccer so far...like in the Confed Cup in the games against Egypt and Spain(and the first half against Brazil).

Everyone giving Altidore such vitriolic hatred are very unfair and should instead give all of that hatred to the asshat players who kept doing nothing but booming the ball downfield and praying it went correct. I was disgusted with the lack of effort in trying to actually, you know, control the ball, maintain possession and move the ball forward. We are SUCH a lazy team. Our defenders or midfielders will get a ball and instead of trying to work it forward they'll just try the longball. Terrible and, predictably, ineffective.

As for Altidore, yeah, he was ineffective early...because he wasn't getting real touches. He's a striker, and he needs to get much, much better service. He wasn't getting ANY service, and he was trying too hard to do it for himself. That isn't his fault, but his teammates'. I'm not saying he played great early, but he wasn't being helped AT ALL.

Oh, and if y'all didn't notice, someone played a terrific header to bring the ball down for Bradley to score the tying goal. Oh yeah, that was ALTIDORE! Someone said he lacked technical skill. Um, yeah, here's some crow to go with those words!

Simply not true. Altidore had plenty of chances to do something with the ball and he was beaten every time. He played terribly and does not deserve to be the everyday starter at striker. One nice pass doesn't make him deserving. He sucks for his club team and he sucks for his national team. Hell, even Brian Ching has had a goal and assist here and there, and I don't hear you defending him.

Gotta disagree. He wasn't great early but he got into the game as it went on and he got better balls up to him. He had a couple of good runs, just as he did against England.

He does go down to easily though, looking for the foul. Even the commentators in England were giving him some praise, and that doesn't happen much for a US player!

I was the one who attacked his technical skill....

I'm not confident Jozy made the best play on that.... Bradley probably had the best single touch of the entire tournament. Controlling that shot was freaking amazing.

The header Jozy made was amazing.... Are you 100% confident he made the play or the ball played him? I certainly am not. In fact, based on his total game, I would be shocked if he was trying to turn and shoot after corralling that pass.

When I made the comment it was after his 4th or 5th poor reception of a long pass from the midfield. In most cases the ball ricocheted violently away from him and ruined the possesition entirely.

The bull in a china shop reference seems to fit him like a glove IMO.... he needs some serious practice at recieving passes, playing with grace, and then turning up the physicality like he did on that run against the Brits.

Just my opinion.

For a man his size he should fight through more of that junk than he does. There was one point had he fought through an arm tackle he would have been 1 on 1 with the keeper but he gave up and flopped...annoys the crap out of me.

BUT the guy is young, 20-21 years old and physically gifted, he just needs to mature as a player.

Another question. For those that have a yellow, if they get another yellow, will they be disqualified for the first round after Group play or does the total reset?

Yes, for instance Cherundolo is carrying a yellow, if he gets a yellow against Algeria he is out for our first knockout game...BUT all yellows reset to zero after the group phase. So any yellows picked up in the group are erased and a new count is started in the knockout rounds.
