listening to this one on the radio - sounds like honduras is putting up a good fight, but spain strikes first - i expect they win this one by 3 when it's all said and done as I expect honduras will lose some of their discipline trying to catch up

Beautiful gol by Chile

Beautiful goal by David Villa of Spain. Split the double team and a sliding strike. Beautiful. Goal of the tourney thus far.

How would you guys feel about an over and back rule like you see in Hockey or basketball?

I don't think so - it's not like hockey where there is an exact offensive zone, defensive zone and center that is drawn out ... which would make a hockey style offside impossible

even if you drew the lines I don't think i'd like it because so much is setup out of the midfield

I don't think disallowing players to play the ball back to the midfield enhance scoring opportunities because I think a lot of the quality chances can occur when the intial push stalls, the ball is played back and a separate run is setup

it's not like those sports where you have a constant need to hold the zone, a shot clock, on the fly line changes, etc

Then those radio guys must be doing a horrible job. Spain should be up 4 or 5 to nothing in this game. Most dominating first half I've seen all tournament.

sounds like spain is really turning it up - seems they are controlling most of the possession and chances now

I think it could of been some initial surprise and praise about how they were keeping spain off the board

since the goal they've mentioned at least 3 chances they said should of been goals and chastised spain for not finishing on a couple of them .... haven't really heard any talk of honduras because they are talking about spains attack

now they are saying "honduras is really up against it" - you think?!..........

There were 2 possible penalty kicks, one was actually a horrible missed call. So those 2 coupled with 3 or 4 Spanish chances in the run of play, and Honduras is totally outclassed.

Wow, top of the box, how can ANYONE let David Villa have that much space?? What a complete failure by Honduras' defense.

Honduras hasn't had but maybe one opportunity to score. They can't even hold possession from what I saw in the first half.

Villa smells the hat trick. He was my pick to win the golden boot this cup.

Am I talking ot the world? Im talking to the ASFN posters. In our polls Serbia wasnt even picked to advance let alone win the group. Go do some reading. I was taking heat.
I did some reading. Nonbody said they weren't a good team, in fact a few said they were looking good. The only commitment to anything was you saying they would beat Ghana 2-0 in the first game.

36.84% think serbia will move on. I think that makes it a long shot so those who said they would can come on and crow a bit.

Speaking of which Mulli is gonna owe me ASFN. He thought Serbia would give up 4 goals in group stage. So far they have given up 2. One game to go against Australia.

Eeeeeek im nervous about this game. As much as I'd love for us to get revenge on Argentina for 06, I can't help but salivate over a potential S.Korea matchup.

For now, the task at hand is Uruguay, and im picking Mexico 2 Uruguay 1

You can have all of my ASFN. You got me on this one. If you would like, you can pick my avatar (within reason) for a week.

How about a serbian flag for the next week. Should be hilarious if the US plays serbia round 1 of elimination lol
