USA won Group C

Serbia won't win the group, Germany will beat Ghana and that means Serbia would have to win by more than 4. If Germany wins by 2 they have to beat Australia by more than 5.

So it is Germany vs England and then vs Argentina most likely which sucks because the other bracket is incredibly weak with Uruguay, USA, Serbia and South Korea.

A semi with Germany can't ever be weak because we are by far together with Brazil the most successful World Cup team of all time one game that we still dominated doesn't change anything.

There is nothing arrogant in saying that a bracket with Uruguay, USA, Serbia and South Korea is weak compared to Germany, England, Argentina and Mexico. That is just the truth, if you don't agree you obviously know nothing about soccer.

Me and another guy scared the crap out of everyone in our office, we were watching quietly and I don't think anyone knew we were watching the world cup, then we start going bat**** and scared my processor so bad she's still shaking and pissed off, she was walking by when the goal was scored, bad timing on her part.

I didn't get them at all they were clearly stalling at the end they just didn't want to lose made little attempt to win at all.

Waa effing waaa! Those teams had the quality to advance in the World Cup, and they damn sure have earned it. Maybe some of the big clubs should have stepped it up a bit more, eh?

That said, I hope Germany wins and Serbia takes second in the group. I'm not sure what the scenarios are for that, but if Germany beats Ghana, especially by a lot, they have to be very good. Actually, Australia going 2nd would be optimal, but I don't see it happening.

I'm going to go ahead and give a big tip of the hat to Altidore. Yes, he had that sitter that he should have poked home, and it frustrated me to no end. That said, without his sparkling play in the rest of the game, we wouldn't have had that offensive push that we maintained throughout the game. He single-handedly won at least a few free kicks in dangerous areas too. He's the youngest striker in the tourney and he showed it on that miss, but he has a lot of quality as he showed today.

Algeria had to resort to hacking Altidore every time he was on the ball, he is a handful and with some maturity and experience he is going to be extremely dangerous. Hope he finds his way to a good club where he will get some PT this season.

Altidore was frustrating at times, but this might have been the best non-goal-scoring game I've ever seen him play. Not sure he is an everyday starter at the international level though.

What a game though. That missed call AGAIN was frustrating to no end, but we should have had this game won much earlier than it was. But as it stands, what a goal! Going from not qualifying to leading the group on one kick? Awesome. World Cup rules!

Agreed. He should have let Donovan strike the ball there. He played a great match.
