First in the 1st half, Wilson may have been out of the tackle box but the rule states the pass must go passed the line of scrimmage. It did not. No call. Then on Palmer's INT, Thomas catches it, leaves the endzone, then goes back and the officials even called it a touchback. Um, you can't leave the endzone and go back and have it be a touchback. That's 4 points and 2 possessions the Cards were cheated out of. It absolutely amazes me how inept NFL officiating is. I'm even going to go so far as to say Fells fumbled. The officiating is bad enough when they can't get calls right but when they don't even know the rules is even worse.

They said on Tv the ball has to completely cross the plane going out before you're out and on replay his knee was down before the ball crossed the plane so it's a touchback. Watching it live I thought the same thing either down at the 1 or a Safety but they got that call right IMO

On TV they said the rule reads the ball has to go near the LOS, whatever that means. It should be it has to cross the LOS.

pereira said the rule is at or beyond the LOS.

He said bad call but not reviewable

There were some blatant terrible spots. How can they be so obvious when they move the ball a yard or so in the wrong direction?

they did the same thing on the Patriots winning FG. They spotted the catch by Amendola a full yard forward of where the ref initially marked it. It was under 2 minutes the giants were screaming for them to respot the ball but it's not challengeable under 2 minutes and the refs didn't review it. Coughlin said in the post game when they called timeout to ice the kicker he was told it wsa too late for them to review the spot.

Then the kick barely stayed inside the upright, 1 more yard he might have missed

Saw that also. It really is sad to see it done so blatantly with all the camera angles and replay available. NFL needs to clean this up.

Was it just me or did that Referee look like a deer in headlights every time he tried to explain the call.

As NFL officiating goes, this was far from the worst crew the Cardinals have faced this season. The crew in Pittsburgh, which wouldn't know defensive holding, illegal contact and pass interference if they jumped up and bit them, now THAT was badly officiated game.

Seahawks weren't happy with all the offensive holding they were called for. If they are unhappy, I'm happy.

I thought it was ironic that Pete Carroll told the NBC crew that this bunch of officials only called P.I. once all season. Guess they never called a Seahawks game Pete.

It's hard to relay the result when the NFL is speaking in Your earpiece to ask why you are making calls against the Seahawks. :) There actually was a moment in the game when the Ref removed his earpiece in frustration.

Also from that Patriots game, has the league updated what constitutes a catch? if that Odell Beckham catch been made in the open field, would that have been a catch and fumble? I thought it was pretty clear that he had possession and came down with the ball and then the defensive back punched it out after he touched down.

Everyone is naming the Patriots as the best team in the league but their only win over a decent team is beating the Steelers in week one. The rest of their schedule has been against average to below average teams and they probably should have lost to the Giants yesterday.

But Seattle had a similar call when Jefferson stripped Graham in the end zone after he caught it. Not sure if Graham had both feet down or not but they ruled it incomplete.

Yeah, I really think the judgement should be if the ball is secured and both feet are down. not secured down and then make sure you keep the ball for the next few seconds before you celebrate.

The first one I agree should have been a safety. Second one I think the refs made a good call. At first I thought it should have been at the 1 but when they explained the rule and looked at the replay the call made sense.

Seahawks should have had another 10 offensive holds - ones that are so blatant they shouldn't be missed.

ON the last Seattle offensive TD, Gunter was tackled.

I don't watch a ton of college football, but I do catch 1 or 2 games every week, is it just me, or are college officials far more competent and organized?

SEC maybe, but just watch a PAC 12 game and you will be amazed on how bad they are. It's always a circus and so, so, so many missed and horrible calls.

The difference was Graham bobbled the ball. Also Seattle scored on that drive anyways. The Giants one it cost them the game. Although they would have scored on the next play if Eli throws to Beckham uncovered in the endzone but he threw to Harris instead.

I wasn't sure if Graham was good or not but they consistently call that no catch so par for the course. I almost expected them to overturn the Gresham TD even though he had 3 steps after securing it.

Pereira said the Beckham call was correct because of the new defintion by the NFL about becoming a runner. he said even in the field of play that's an incomplete pass because the strip happened just after his 2nd foot hit.

I was screaming for a hold to be called in the second half. I lost track of how many blatant holds and tackles of defensive players I saw.

Seattle O-line could not block them in the first half so they adjusted by just holding on every play.

Graham caught that ball in the end-zone and by rule you have to complete the process of the catch. The ironic thing is that if he had caught that ball at say the 1 yard line it would have been a TD, but by making the catch in the end-zone he then had to maintain it all the way to the ground.

If you want to see some bad spots, watch College football. That makes me appreciate what a GOOD job NFL refs do (usually, however the spots on the 3rd and 4th down challenged plays were pretty weak.)
