Afew moves I would be infavor of is cutting Clement. He has missed two seasons due to inj, and has been inconsistant.

For the amount of money we pay him we should release him, move BIG to RT, and find a solid RG on the market.

Next I would throw alot of money at Sapp. I know there are alot of negatives about him. But I think he would give this defence some much needed personality & tuffness.

Next would be a cover corner. I used to like David Barrett but he has seemed to take a step back this year. I like how physical he is but he isnt as good as I thought he would become. Is Woodson the best option out there?

Not sure what to say about Starks(who?). At first I say cut him, but he is talented and good cover corners are hard to find. Maybe we give him ONE more year to pan out?

If Big Ben drops to us in the draft we HAVE to snag him, but if not I think we should take that BIG DT I keep hearing about.

Fitzgerald sounds like a hellova WR to pair up with Boldin, but we need Defensive help soooo bad. I would rather go after a veteran WR.

Sapp, believe it or not is a clubhouse cancer. Total pothead. Simeon Rice's best buddy. Redskins are hot on his hiney.

Sam Madison is on the chopping block from the Dolphins. They spend a ton of cap money on him and Surtain and he is odd man out. Too many bucks at CB for the Dolphins.

Keep Starks and draft Sean Taylor.

Fitzgerald IS Boldin. Don't need 2 of the same.

Do you mean Wilfork?

Lets be realistic. We are not going to bring in a top corner. We should go after A. Winfield or F. Bryant. Those corners are young and good, but won't cost an arm and a leg.

Sapp will go to a team ready to compete for the Super Bowl. He will be an impact player in the first year of his deal. However, I expect he will wear out his welcome by season 2.

????Total Pot head??????

1st off never heard that. Second how does that matter?

Ridiculous. Find another reason.

I got a positive!!!!! He has talent, and can play.

I don't think there is a person that wouldn't take L.Taylor in his prime and he was a pimp, and a coke head!!!

When you hire somebody for a job you are concerned about what he does while at work.

What he does in his own time is his own business.

This is not a church picknic it is FOOTBALL. I don't care if Lucifer is a Free Agent! If he has a good 40 time and shut down coverage abilities then lets sign him up!

I mean it is pot not alcohol! coughRayThompsoncough

I would love to have Sapp here. It couldn't hurt. He still gets double teamed, which would free up Pace, Johnson, Tanner, or whoever else. His attitude might suck, but at least he has an attitude, and he was part of the Tampa Bay Suckaneers, so he knows what it takes to turn a franchise around.

Warren Sapp flunked every drug test he took at U of Miami ( 7 tests to be precise. He tested positive for pot and coke. He was one of Dennis Erickson's renegades and the ring leader of the group who got Miami on major NCAA probation for 3 years. If Erickson hadn't left, he would have been terminated. Sapp was so dumb , he flunked his combine drug test and dropped to the 12th pick in the draft by Tampa. He hasn't changed at all since his days in Miami. He is a 2 time loser in the NFL for positive drug tests. One more and he is in big trouble.

Now he is on the downside of his career. last years stats, 44 tackles and 5 sacks. Tampa won't resign him and he wants a ton.
This club got rid of the malcontents. Why would they want the biggest one of all?

Who ever the first coach ends up being, this should be his first move. Send a strong message right out of the gate.

Cut Clement...

Yeah... and he'd be out of work for all of about 15 minutes.

In a year... there would be thread after thread about how we gave up on him too soon...

We'd add his name to Simeon, et al...

Players who went off to star for someone else....

HAve you seen Buffalo play this year?? Winfield has elevated his play and is a top 5 CB in the league.

I'm for the idea, though. Starks is too expensive to cut and have to stay for another year (If he's healthy). Let Barrett go, Sign F. Bryant and draft a corner in the 2nd or 3rd. Starks, Bryant, Hill with a rookie and Rhinehart backing up. I could live with that...

Check out Antrell Rolle ( CB ) in the Orange Bowl tonight. He is going to come out after this season. 1st round pick. He humbled Fitzgerald man to man, one on one. Big , strong, covers and fast. Can even return punts and KOs. Qbs didn't even throw his way

I would also like see an attitude like Sapps here. But, I don't think the Bidwills see it the same way. Their past history indicates they will not tolerate lockeroom problems. Sapp ain't gonna happen. No matter what.

There are a whole bunch of Rolles in Florida and most of them are related. Even Esther Rolle who was the mother in Good Times with J J Walker and Maude.

We'd be nuts not to get 1 or both of these corners

Troy Vincent
Bobby Taylor

I mean NUTS not to get one or both. They will not demand top 5 money and both are top 29 in the league. They enabled Jim Johnson to blitz every play.

They are kings of man to man.
