Could be a decent signing but I'll be more happy when we start bringing OT's in for interviews. We have none on other side of the line.

Overall, I agree with you. Unfortunately, the tackle market sucks. When Levi Brown is the guy with the fewest question marks, that is a problem.

Do you think the Cards haven't done due diligence in watching film on this guy? Overall, I'd say the Cards have done a respectable job in bringing in under the radar types of players since Whisenhunt has been around.

Daryn Colledge was a huge disappointment and Rex Hadnot was a downgrade from Deuce Lutui.

All Duece had to do was drop some poundage, I doubt he'll be back...liked him too.

Jelly Roll barely got off the bench last season. Why would we take him back if we want to upgrade RG as has been stated as one of our offseason goals?

To anyone who doesn't like Jake Scott, what RG free agent would you rather see brought in?

And maybe he did... but I disagree with the current staff's fixation on the scale IMO at the detriment to the team. I think it's more of a power-struggle thing, and when Deuce is gone the pogrom of Denny players will be complete.

I'm fine with Scott, but, I'd suggest Mike Brisiel (Texans)

Anyone care to venture a guess to what kind of contract this guy would get? Wondering if this would be a depth signing which keep the door open for Decastro.

I doubt that they would see a guy who has started for 8 years as a depth signing.

Or sign a guy or not sign a guy HOPING they get to draft someone who may or not be there.

I agree that the Cards are smart to have depth at OG by signing a player like Jake Scott, but I would hope that it would not prevent them from drafting DECastro if he is available at #13. We will see.
