Is that a movie quote???

I could only view the pic partially on my phone. Just looked at it on the laptop and see the gun and patches. I thought I remembered you saying you worked at a C.O. in AZ.

You’re in Vegas?

That's interesting Cheese, I never pictured you as a Blazing Saddles fan. That movie could not be sold today.

WHA?! That is literally the funniest movie ever made.

And beyond prescient for today’s United States. Tell me this isn’t as close to a Trump cabinet meeting as you’ll ever see?

Funny, but I guess this makes me a sexist cause all I remembered was "Think of your secretary".

Mel Brooks is a legend. Great pic!

OT though...you prefer to cross-draw your sidearm? I never could get comfortable doing that.

But could it be made today?

That’s a good question... and when you look at all the screenwriters involved, you can make the argument that it could because the team who wrote it wasn’t just a bunch of white guys. It was Mel, Bergman And Richard Pryor who did the heavy lifting.

And ultimately I think it’s possible because what I think sooooo many people miss about this movie is that it absolutely SAVAGES ALL the white people painting them as inbred, ish-kickers who ONLY care about themselves and have to be saved not just by a Black Sherrif, but his drunk Jewish sidekick AND the Irish and Asian immigrants.

I think A LOT of white people watch that movie and laugh at the n-bombs and other slurs when the reality is the joke is ON THEM.

The movie is literally a liberal love letter that says all the church going, white business people are the biggest bunch of lying, conniving bunch of idiots on the face of the planet and the only people who can save them from themselves are the people that they hate.

The movie isn’t just funny... it’s actually SUPER POINTED racial satire.

Yup.

Brooks, the Zucker Brothers and Harold Ramis are the triumvirate of comedy.
nah,...
Robin Williams
Eddie Murphy
and Chris Rock

Robin and eddie in their prime of course...before they quit doing drugs and got all family friendly. Williams is the most insanely funny dude I have ever seen

Those guys are legendary too. I’m just talking about my biggest influences growing up and who shaped my sense of humor.
