Those guys are legendary too. I’m just talking about my biggest influences growing up and who shaped my sense of humor.
back when I was a youngster I used to have these cassette tapes of Richard Pryor. Stuff was just rolling on the floor type hilarious. Ever hear of an old dude named Redd Foxx?? He was funny as hell too when he did stand up. Those guys influenced me quite a bit when I was young. Probably a big reason why my sense of humor is so off color, lol

Of course! Foxx’s is a legend as well.

And trust me... I can practically recite every word of Delirious from start to finish. My best friend’s father used to bring home movies for us to watch on sleepovers when we were really young.

One night was a double feature of Delirious and The Exorcist... when we were 7! No doubt he was trying to entertain us and himself pushing that stuff on us at that age. I remember him taking us to see Sam Kinison when were ten at Celebrity Theater and him looking around and chuckling to us that the three of us had to be the youngest AND oldest people in the house.

Sanford and Son was my pregame show back in the days when it was on right before Monday night football. Never missed it!

But could it be made today?
I don’t think so. But a lot of things made a long time ago couldn’t . . .

The irony is that Saddles was all poking fun at racism and exclusion. It wasn’t actually racist itself. But that would be lost on today’s society. Kinda like what’s happening in this board right now with the misdirected censorship.

A quarterback’s two most important relationships are his number one receiver and his center. They have to be on the same page. We just put this quarter around Rosen and they can all develop together.

Genius!
