OK, now take what we are this year and add J.Cooper, S.Acho & A.Okafor...

my biggest fear for the D next year is the one two punch of possibly losing Dansby and not having a healthy Honey Badger. You take away both of those guys from the D and it could have a pretty serious effect.

Agree. This is a major concern.

Dansby was the quarterback of this year's defense. Christ, I don't know what else a guy could do to show how valuable he is to a team. If we lose him, that will be heartbreaking.

As the Mathieu, I think he is a top ten defensive talent in the NFL. If he gets even just a hand on a guy, they go down. Which, with his tight coverage of WRs, TEs, and RBs is huge.

The biggest surprise to me, for this entire season, was Mathieu going down but our D being able to compensate with Powers and Cason playing new roles. That is one hell of a coaching job.

dansby excelled also after return of washington that gave him opportunity to be a playmaker ,in a lot of snaps washington was in coverage and not attacking the line of scrimmage like the last season

Los is key, but some other notable 1 year contract are Mendenhall & E. Winston, I wouldn't be heart broken if we go into next season without them. John Abraham is on a 2 year deal.

What about Matt Shaughnessy?

I know he doesn't get the pub that some others do but his versatility has been a key to that front seven.

He can put his hand on the ground and rush but he can also drop back.

For a man his size he can really chase the ball.

I think having an outside linebacker of his size has been one of the reasons we have leaped to the top of rushing defenses.

He's the type of guy that has made us competitive with the rest of the NFC West.

shaughnessy must be resigned..i d like also dansby but i think is gonna be hard..he is looking for big bucks.
minter is ready to take his place,,next year washington with minter will be more free to make impact plays like last year

Arians has already said they will never be able to re-sign every free agent. Keim has some really tough choices to make, none tougher than what to do with Dansby. Just letting him go and plugging in Minter is a huge gamble for next year. It's not often a team will let an MVP on one side of the ball go and then plug in someone who took nothing more than special teams snaps the year before.
