Every time the Seahawks ran in the direction of D"don't tackle"RC... I surely was lol
The Cardinals have never played in the Super Bowl without DRC at CB.
I'd take him in a heart beat
Didn't say I'd take him over Peterson I don't think I'd take any CB over Peterson considering he's still got plenty of upside
Seven years in the league, and you still want to talk "upside" ?
DRC is what he is.
Finito was talking about Peterson having upside but I think Peterson's upside is already on the mountain top, just play smart and do not have metal lapses and fall off the summit of what he is capable of because he knows what to do. I think the two are close to the same coverage ability excepts DRC suffers from more mental lapses and makes Deon Sanders looked like a tackling machine lol
He'll make millions because he can cover, man to man, any WR in the league and that's what CB's get paid to do. Being a good tackler is a bonus.I've always called him Doesn't Really Care in here, the recent retirement junk goes right along with his tackling desire, he doesn't even care if he's back on the Broncos. But he'll make millions (again), even if he doesn't care.

They took OLB Vinny Curry who I think has eaten himself into a DT. He plays but that's about it. When you consider DRC did nothing for them and Curry isn't much of anything, it wasn't all that great a trade from the Philly standpoint either.Who did the Eagles end up taking with that pick anyway? ... and more to the point, who was still on the board that the Cards would have likely taken?
What a disaster of a trade.
Then why did you start out by asking "who did the Eagles take anyway" ?I dont really care how it worked out for the Eagles, but from the Cardinals stand point it was absolutely a disaster. There is no other way to characterize it. Two wasted wasted seasons, a lost pick, a lost asset in DRC, a bunch of salary, a bunch of dead cap on this season.

The players taken after that pick and were available aren't any of significance:
Kelechi Osemele: he's a starter for Bmore
LaMichael James- Limited impact
Casey Hayward: had a good rookie year but then nothing. NOt sure if he was injured or not, didn't play much.
Reuben Randle: probably not on the Cards radar with Roberts/Fitz/ and they still had Doucet at that point.
next pick was round 3.
I wouldn't call it a disaster. I'd call it a trade that didn't work out for either team.
All I know is DRC is more productive than Kolb. If we could undo that trade I'm pretty sure everyone would, like him or not. We lost value and ate money.

I was just looking over that draft. There were some real steals to be had in the third round, Russell Wilson, Nick Foles, Kirk Cousins and T.Y. Hilton. Not saying anything about who the Cards should or shouldn't have picked, but those four teams got great values for those picks.
Other than Wilson, I think all those guys were there when the Cards picked in round 3 and they went with Jamal Fleming. So, who's to say of they would have pick any of them. I guess they may have looked at QB if they didn't have Kolb, but you never know.I was just looking over that draft.
